"Oh my biscuits", Jay exclaimed.

It was about 9:00 that night from a long day at Dave and Busters, clothing stores, and sight seeing. We were back at the hotel and Makayla jumped in the shower right after I got out. I was still shocked and confused of the news I've gotten this morning. I tried my hardest to not text or call Steven and cuss him out over what I was told. Even though Makayla never lied to me I still didn't want to approach Steven directly about the situation due to how I felt, I didn't want to be an ignorant one sided chick and just ask him questions out of the blue rudely that could possibly break up our friendship or cause some sort of conflict between him and Makayla. I decided to call Jay instead and ask about what he thought of it and if he knew about it to determine if I should either distrust Steven or not and what I should do about it. As of now I was contemplating about my speculation.

"Yeah, I almost went totally ballistic", I told Jay.

"I never even knew that girl", he said.

"She knows you though."

"I don't know how!"

"Either someone's lying or someone hasn't told me the whole truth."

"I have nothing else to tell you. I know what went down when my daddy came back to me and I don't wanna see his ass."

"I need answers, I'll call you later ok?"

"Alright."

After we hung up Makayla finally came out the shower in the same PJ's as the day before.

"Jay?", she asked.

"God, I wish we had separate rooms."

"No, its ok. I'm actually surprised he didn't tell you about me."

"Why didn't he though?"

"We never got along a day in our life."

"We have two different fathers."

"Wow, that means your mom kept the child and his father left again."

"Yeah, I was told that neither of them knew their father until he finally showed up."

"God, why is their father so complicated and why does he keep them apart?"

"That's a good ass question."

"Like what is the story behind it all? Was it for their safety? Or was it him just being ignorant as hell?"

"Yeah, like they have went almost half of their life in school without knowing that and for some reason when they find out Jay is torn apart and upset?"

"When he was little his dad actually abandoned him he literally witnessed it as a toddler. His dad never came back so his mother took care of him. Neither one of them has saw their biological mother. She died of cancer which also broke his dad's heart. I was also told that he wasn't stable and that when Jay's mom wanted to marry that's the same time when he overreacted and left. I don't know Steven's story for some reason he was raised by their grandmother as an infant and toddler. I'm guessing since Steven is in a new place and better house he was left there as well and taken care of. I actually saw their dad at the old house before Jay moved in the complex where I am."

"Well, I've never saw his father. I wasn't there that day, well, I was told to stay in my room."

"I don't get it. Why did Steven only tell me what happened when their father came back instead of what happened before his memory was even developed?!"

"Maybe that's where all the ugly things take place."

"That's what I need to find out then."

"Are you gonna call him?"

"Contemplating."

"Why not?"

"It's probably none of my business."

"Come on now, he's the one who brought you into this shit. He wanted help and you apparently agreed to help him, isn't that what you want to do?"

"Ok look I did volunteer but I ain't ask for all this family business."

"That's what you get for volunteering."

"Shut up."

"Ok whats the real reason behind what you just said."

"I'll help them, not get in the middle of things that aren't my business. I do have some questions and opinions but truthfully I just want to know the answers that'll lead them back into being a happy family again. Don't you want that?"

"Yeah."

"I also don't understand your not the one bringing your family together. Jay could be your brother too you know."

"Now that I think about it, he probably is."

"Possibility. I don't know what to do next. I scared to call Steven I haven't spoken to him in forever."

"Well you have to now. You need to come up with a plan more importantly. What are you gonna do after he tells you whatever you wanna hear?"

"I'm gonna put my thoughts together and find out what my next move is gonna be afterwards. To me as of right now I'm gonna let it be based on what he tells me."

"So your gonna ask where their dad went after that day?"

"Yeah, and I'm gonna ask why he left. Or if."

"Hmm, someone is smart."

"Oh hush I been smart."

"Your actually smarter than you think, you surprise me and yourself. I believe your gonna be a really big help to everyone."

"Thanks, I'll do my best."

"You always do, nerd."

"Whatever smart ass."

After a few minutes of insulting each other and watching tv and random shows we called it a night. I'm gonna help these two guys, more importantly get them to talk first.
