Jay Paris p.o.v

It was lunchtime.

I don't know what to say.

I don't know what to do.

I got beef with my two best friends, I got my first tardy already, the weirdest shit happened to me today in the hallway, and I can't even run no game on this girl. What the hell? Am I going crazy? Like I don't know what to do.

I sat down by myself at an open lunch table. Trust me, I don't eat school lunch. I've gotten food poisoned last year and these bitches still serve the same shit the same way. I don't even wanna go over the details about what had to be done to me, ughh.

Before I started to get sick to my stomach I saw Rex and Jason come back from the lunch-line. I'm thinking their about to come sit by me with the crew followed along with them while I just remain quiet. Instead the bypass me and go sit at another empty table...Wow. A couple of seconds later the rest of the crew followed proceed. What the fuck? I sat there and watched them, they were just doing their regular routine. Laughing and cuttin up and I'd be the main one.

Jason took a glance my direction and made eye contact with me. His mood drooped, he just gave me a  blank look that he always gave me when he felt bad for someone but he couldn't do anything about it. Then he quickly turned his head and acted like nothing happened continuing to laugh along with everyone else. I just turned away and shook my head. So that's how it is.

I looked around until my eyes stopped wondering on the girl of my dreams. Ok, this is my chance. Fuck everything else this is my one shot at getting....her name..at least. Then for a bonus her number.

Yeah, ok that'll work. So I'll just get comfortable and do what Jay Paris always do. Oooh, look she has an empty seat right in front of her. I picked my hot ass out that seat and started walking over to her table. Its time to give Jason  something to hate on.

I sat down in the seat in front of her then her and her friend immediately stop talking and just stare at me in shock.

"Wassup baby.", I said in a smooth tone voice.

"Hi.", she said not looking too convinced.

Aww shit. "I believe we've gotten off on the wrong foot. I'm Jay, Jay Paris and you are?", I said.

"Totally interested in you.", her friend interrupted.

"Whoa! Hold up hold up!", said my unknown baby girl.

"I'm her best friend Jessica and I've been watching the way you stare at my friend Nakita here--", started off Jessica.

"I believe I was talking to her.", I interrupted. I ain't want to here no shit from her friend unless I ask. Its called speak when spoken to bitch. "So what was your name?", I asked turning my full attention back to my baby girl.

"Nakita.", she said. She spoke in the most soft angel toned voice pronouncing every syllable in her name. Her name was beautiful I never met anyone in my screwed up life with that name. Surprised she still chose to talk to me.

"That's a very pretty name. By the way you smell very divine...like an angel.", I said not knowing how the hell I was doing this or what the fuck I was saying. I went from scared to speak to learning new words from myself. What the hell does divine mean?

"Thank you.", said Nakita. Aww, look at her she blushing.

I smiled. "Just out of curiosity, by the way, why were you late to biology?", she said with the dare devil look in her eyes. She seemed as if she wasn't falling for me at all, sort of like she was snapping back to reality.

"Uh, well I'd rather not talk about it. Its kind of personal.", I said taking a glance at the table where Jason and my homeboys were sitting.

Ok, here's my shot at getting her number to make my dreams come true. "However, I am interested in getting to know you better so may I get your number?", I asked in the sweetest tone possible starting dead into her eyes.

She scoffed with a smirk." I'd rather not give it to you, its kind of personal.", she quoted.

Bruh! She just played me at my own game. Ha, time to show her who's really the beast at it.

"Someone has a skeptical attitude.", I said with a grin.

"Ha, and someone doesn't like biology.", she remarked.

"Well sweetheart I'm not a scientist, but I do believe we may have chemistry.", I said.

The bell rang, I reached in my pocket and handed her a small piece of paper folded up with my number inside. Before lunch started I decided to have a little bit of faith that we'll exchange numbers so I thought ahead.

We stood up from the table. I walked up to her before she left and I traced my finger from her jaw line to her chin. "I'll catch you later.... Nakita.", I winked at her and left with a smile on my face. I could feel her eyes from behind staring at me with shock.

Jay Paris... That was courage.
