LEGACY DAYLION HENDRIX
SUNDAY AFTERNOON
DECEMBER 24th, 2022IT TOOK HIM a few seconds, but bones finally realized who Kataleya was referring to when she said TK.
He didn't remember everything but he did remember her briefly bringing up her old bestfriend. At the time he didn't care because he was a thing of the past, but to find out she was referring to his favorite cousin had him shocked.
"Damn fam, how y'all know each other?" Taylor questioned still standing outside even though it was freezing cold.
"Leya," Bones spoke calmly, turning his head slightly since he couldn't hear. Taylor's eyebrows raised momentarily.
"Oh shit, Leya stands for Kataleya huh." Taylor put the pieces together. When his cousin would talk about her, he never expected Knucks because that was just too much of a coincidence.
The Kataleya he knew wasn't even that bad to be sent to the school bones attended, and it was in a another state where many other kids from all over the United States were from, so the odds were slim to none.
Bones nodded keeping his eyes trained on the girl who had a smile on her face, still standing back since legacy was basically blocking their view.
He finally stepped aside and Taylor let out a sigh, stepping inside and closing the door. He let the warm heat envelope him, as he gained feeling in his fingers.
"So how come he know your name but you don't know his real name, leya?" Bones questioned, since they were so called bestfriends.
"Come on cuz, nobody but you, my momma and granny know my government name. And you only know cause you met knew me before I had the chance to reinvent myself." Taylor explained, with a goofy smile on his face. Just like bones and Knucks he couldn't stand his name, but his reason was valid.
He had a girl name, or obviously unisex. Taylor just didn't sound manly enough for him, and he would never forgive his mother for the disgrace of a name.
"Yeah, plus he met me when I still went by my name. He's the one who gave me my nickname remember?" She reminded him, since she'd told him about TK months before.
"Oh yeah, I guess I do remember you sayin dat." Bones shrugged his shoulders at his best friend. He watched the girl embrace the boy lovingly in a wholesome hug.
His eyes lingered on them, not knowing what he was specifically looking for, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary. "How long are you gonna be here?" Knucks asked the boy.
"Ion know probably til like seven, im just tryna catch up wit bones." Tk answered easily, slipping his hands into his pockets looking around the nice home.
"Knucks, can you make me some of that chili since its cold outside?" Kaycee came from the back. She couldn't lie she had been waiting on her sister to come back just so she could cook some of the things that she had been missing.
