LEGACY DAYLION HENDRIX
SUNDAY AFTERNOON.
AUGUST 14th, 2022.

"I ALREADY TOLD you, I don't care. Just don't tag me man." Bones pushed her hand out his his face, removing his hearing aid from his ear.

"Why I can't tag you." She bugged him, adding an emoji to the video she had just recorded of them together.

"Cause ion like people following me." He frowned at her. He didn't even like the idea of Instagram honestly, but it was some days where he would've preferred to just scroll so he kept it.

"Well, I can't tag you anyway. Ion have your Instagram." She shrugged posting the video on her close friends. She knew she was lying but she didn't want him to know that she had tried stalking him.

"I can give it to you," he muttered quietly, rubbing his eyes.

"Okay, here." She passed her phone playing along. She was so happy she was smart enough to delete her searches from the previous day.

He simply typed in his Instagram, and followed himself on her phone. She stared at the side of his face. "Were you born with a hearing impairment, or did something happen." She asked curiously.

He swallowed the saliva in his mouth, passing the phone back to her, turning to his head to realize she was already looking at him.

"Something happened. Why?" He questioned back towards her but ended up speaking again before she had the chance. He said, "never mind ion know why I asked, I already know you wanna know what happened."

He shook his head. He had known her for a week now, and he had her studied down already. She was very predictable-the complete opposite of him.

"Exactly nigga...so tell me what I would like to know." She blinked twice, keeping her eyes trained on his face. His eyes were low-from being tired, and he was playing with the drawstrings on his black sweatpants.

He contemplated with himself for a little while before deciding he would tell her. He only decided to because he knew if he were to ask her something personal, she would answer for him.

"When I was like eleven, my hearing in this ear got fuzzy all of a sudden. So, I told my pops about it, but he kind of just waved it off, and since I was so young I did too." He started. She nodded giving him her undivided attention. "After a few months, the hearing was slowly disappearing, and it was to the point where my mom finally asked me why i kept saying huh or could never hear her."

"Aww." She frowned, she didnt know why but the little detail made her sad. She could tell her friend had been through a lot of stuff.

"She took me to the doctor to get it checked, and we found out that i had an ear infection, and because it wasnt handled sooner and had caused irreversible ear damage. So, from there on out it got worse, and eventually I'll lose all hearing in this ear." He pointed. "My hearing aid help a lil bit, but the shit annoying so ion wear it like dat."
