"BABYYYY, DO YOU know what today isssssss, stinkaaa." Leyas excited singing voice woke the boy up from his light slumber.
It seemed as if he had only gotten three hours of sleep last night and he was already being awoke. This couldn't be his harsh reality. He deserved much better.
He wasn't even in school anymore, why was he being woken early. "What time is it." He replied, ignoring her question with a question of his own.
"It's twelve in the afternoon, and I was been supposed to wake your ass up but you thought it was okay to be on the game until six in the morning so I gave you a grace period." Her words caused him to smile while his eyes were still shut closed.
"Sorry ma." He apologized realizing he was on the game up until the wee hours of the morning. "What was you saying?" He questioned her, his eyes still remaining closed.
"I saiddddd do you know what day it is baby?" She repeated feeling all gittery inside, and he found himself smiling once again.
"Of course I do." He finally opened his eyes allowing her to back away so he could lift up slightly, to look at her fully. "Today is the day we met a year ago. August 6th 2022." His words caused her to grow even more excited.
"Yessssss!" She exclaimed, jumping on him, causing him to laugh. Her being so excited was so forgein to him, but it was the most adorable thing he had ever seen in his life. "Did you ever imagine that the night I met you, a year later we would be in a full blown relationship, living together with a baby on the way? That shit don't even sound right coming from me." She was amazed by the progress they made.
"Nah real shit. I was dead ass scared of women before I met you, plus I thought you was a figment of my imagination so there's that too." He chuckled prompting her to laugh at the reality of it all. "We been through so much though." He stated like he was actually coming to terms with it.
"Yep," She placed a soft kiss on his cheek causing him to blush deeply. "So we're gonna go out to lunch with our families today, and you need to get up. You also have your drug test today as well boo." She reminded him but he was still stuck on the first statement.
"Family? So who all coming." He wanted to be prepared.
She thought about it for a second. "My dad, kaycee, legend, Taylor, your aunt and granny, your dad, and the twins." She listed making sure to leave no one out of the mix.
He nodded in contempt with the list provided, when she said family he didn't think she meant every family member he was in contact with, but it was really nothing to him. The more people attending, the more people would find out he was having a baby.
He really couldn't believe he was about to be a dad.
Although he and his father were working on their relationship, he vowed to be a much better father than he was provided, and no one could make him feel bad about feeling that way. "Okay," He eventually replied to her.
