"TWINNNN, I THOUGHT yo ass ain't have to work today." The voice pierced Legacy's only good ear, causing his face to turn up in the process.
He had just clocked in , like clock work everyday except he was late. His only off days were Friday and Saturday which were fine with him. Sometimes he hated that he switched out school for work though.
It was the exact same thing to him. Wake up before six, work for eight hours, then repeat. Except school was easy to him, and work required real manual labor. He would much rather be sitting in his room doing tricks with smoke from a blunt. At least working got him money though.
It was whatever though.
"I had something to do." He spoke easily. He was granted a half day because he had a lot of things to do with the bank early morning. He needed to close all his bank accounts, and transfer all his money into a bank account that only he had access to.
He didn't trust his mother one bit, and the last time he saw her it was like something triggered her. Scorned people were the most dangerous, so he wasn't even going to sleep on her.
After that was done, he went and got something to eat with leya before getting dropped off. He had much more money than he presumed, therefore the first investment he was making was in a car.
With a license , that was the next step for him. Then he would move on from there.
"Oh okay." She nodded, satisfied with his vague answer. The past two days she had been getting trained by Sharmaine, so she didn't really have time to socialize with Legacy, but now that she was done and stationed closer to him it was a party.
"So I was wondering," She started. Legacy was trying not to show his annoyance by her. He really wanted to give her a chance. His whole life he had been stripped of having a female friend, so he was trying his best.
She just talked so much about unnecessary stuff, and it didn't hit the same as when leya did it. Maybe he was the problem, but he didn't know.
"What's up." He rubbed his incoherent ear. He didn't wear his hearing aid to work because he felt as if it sometimes got in his way.
"Where you from? You from here?" She questioned, referring to the city that they were currently in, Albany.
"I'm from Macon." He responded, lifting his eyes to look at her, giving her the proper conversation. "What about you?" He returned.
She eyed him suspiciously, seeing the skeptical look on his face, as if he were paranoid."I'm from here. Why you being so jumpy?" She didn't give him a chance to reply to her answer before asking the question.
