"ARE YOU GONNA continue and sit here lying to me about what happened to your face?" Miranda crossing her arms over her chest while Marcus used his phone to eye his appearance.
Legacy had did a number on him.
Marcus only grumbled, sitting his phone aside to grab the bottle of whiskey that had been accompanying him on his ride.
Unfortunately although he was beat and battered, the world kept spinning. He still had events he needed to attend, and things he needed to take care of.
Miranda cleared her throat. "I overheard zalikah telling someone that you paid Kataleya visit..." She trailed off trying to pry for information on the topic.
"Okay and? You need to start worrying about yourself." He deflected, turning the bottle upside down into his mouth instead of pouring it in a glass like he had been doing.
Being reminded that he didn't get his way when it came to Kataleya leaving with him, irritated him to the max. It was okay though because he had something in store for her.
"Marcus of you just open up to me I could possibly give you better solutions to your issues." She brought her hand up to rub up and down his arm, attempting to soothe him which seemed to be working.
It was so hard to be in love with him while he wanted her daughter.
He let out a deep breath. "Why do she choose to be so rebellious ? She could have whatever she wanted off the strength of us but she chooses to slum it with a delinquent she met at a school for kids who do nothing with their lives". He insulted.
"If I told you what I really thought, you wouldn't like it." Miranda quipped, and he raised an eyebrow feeling challenged by her words.
"Continue."
She gulped, praying god would be with her. "Leave her alone. She seems to be building a life for herself outside of us. Maybe what you thought you guys had was just something she entertained because she was young and dumb." Her breathing hallowed.
He chuckled under his breath wondering if she was serious. "I don't know if you're stupid. But it's far too late for that shit. Me and her are legally married." He blinked.
"Might I add that she in fact doesn't know you two are married, which is suspicious to me because of the simple fact that you convinced me to sign the consent forms under the impression that you guys were," She swallowed down the vomit daring to rise, "In a relationship." She finished.
"You calling me a liar?!" He instantly got defensive towards her words.
"What? No!" She exclaimed, watching him take another swig of whiskey.
"Just shut the fuck up." He muttered not wanting to hear it from her anymore. She was telling him every single thing that he didn't want to hear instead of feeding his ego.
