~Poe's POV~

It's been a few months since I've seen Ranpo because of our work schedules and with my dear Ranpo being the world's greatest detective he also gets called in to help the police sometimes as well with cases they can't even solve, I've been working on my new book for the past 4 months staying up till late at night trying to finish it so Ranpo can solve it, It mostly takes me a while longer to write because Ranpo can't read or speak english so I have to make the book Japanese and make sure everything is right so Ranpo can understand what the characters are saying if he chooses to talk to any of them (which he normally solves my books not talking to the characters that much) but I make sure he can understand things, "I really need to teach Ranpo English sooner rather than later, Right Karl?" Karl looked at me with his big bright eyes and walked up onto my shoulder sitting down, after a few more hours of writing I decided to take a small break and go eat and feed Karl.

I got up from my desk walking towards my bedroom door opening it walking downstairs to my kitchen walking to my coffee maker making me a new cup of coffee, while my coffee was being made I got a small bowel from the cabinet and filled it with some fruit putting it on the counter for Karl to feast on as I re-heated some leftovers from last night that I still had in my fridge, until I heard a knock at my front door then heard a cheery, happy voice scream "Ed! Are you home!?" I recognized that voice as my dear Ranpo's, then when I heard the door close, I smiled glancing over at Karl as he was eating the fruit that I gave him, I turned my head towards the Kitchen door "In the Kitchen Ranpo dear!"

After calling out to Ranpo he cracked open the door peeking his head through the crack and then entered the Kitchen smiling "There you are Ed!" I smiled at Ranpo "Hello my dear Ranpo, how was your day?" Ranpo walked up to me hugging me from behind with his arms around my waist "My day was good, but I missed you Ed, so I came to see you!" Ranpo visited me on the regular whenever he missed me (including Karl) and I loved having him here whenever I could.

Poe : Me and Karl just came down here to take a little break from writing and eat lunch.

Ranpo : Oo any sweets!?

Poe : Haha have you actually eaten lunch my Dear?

Ranpo : Yes, we had sandwiches for lunch at the Agency.

Poe : Alright then, in the pantry to the left Dear.

Ranpo : Thanks Ed!

I always make sure that Ranpo eats something other than just sweets all the time (even tho he probably rather just eat sweets) but Ranpo has to eat something healthy for meals, sometimes I make him lunches to take to work on the nights he stays over "Ed, how long have you been working on your book today?" I turned to Ranpo seeing him with a lollipop in his mouth smiling at me with his eyes closed like he normally does "Around 8 hours I would say", Ranpo took the lollipop out of his mouth with a frown "Have you taken breaks?" while I make sure Ranpo eats meals, Ranpo always makes sure I take breaks when I'm writing "Of course I have Dear" Ranpo smiled putting the lollipop in his hand back into his mouth walking over to Karl petting his back.

Poe : I'm gonna get back to work, you'll welcome to come upstairs with me Ranpo.

Ranpo picked up Karl off the counter and followed me upstairs to my bedroom, I sat down at my desk and watched Ranpo plop down on my bed with Karl in his arms petting him, I turned around and got back to writing while Ranpo played with Karl, It's been a few hours and the sun has set "Ed it's getting late" I turned to Ranpo seeing him in his pajamas that I kept here for him Incase he stayed the night "Let me touch up a few things, then I'll get changed and head to bed with you" Ranpo gave me a pout pulling my arm "Ed you can do that in the morning! come to bed now~ please?~" Ranpo gave me another pout (which is always cute) I eventually gave up and put down my pen standing up taking his hands "Alright, let me get changed and I'll be in bed" Ranpo smiled walking over to the bed getting under the covers waiting for me.

I cleaned up my desk putting everything in its rightful place then walked over to my closet gathering clothes to change into and walked to my bathroom to change, after that I made sure the doors were locked and that Karl had water for the night Incase he got thirsty, Ranpo was still laying down in my bed but now he was playing a new game he downloaded on his phone a few weeks ago until I climbed in beside him catching his attention, Ranpo put his phone down on the bedside table charging it while I was giving Karl some pets while he was on my lap until Ranpo picked up Karl "Huh Ranpo what are you doing with Karl?" Ranpo placed Karl next to him while Ranpo climbed on top of me "R-Ranpo!" Ranpo laid down on my chest wrapping his arms around me "Karl took my spot so I had to reclaim it!" I blushed while Ranpo's grip got stronger as he hugged me.

I looked over at Karl to see his shocked face as he laid down at the foot of the bed, I felt kind of bad for my poor Karl but Karl knows that Ranpo doesn't come around a lot so whenever he is around Karl normally lets Ranpo have his spot "Ranpo it's not nice to just move him Dear" Ranpo pouted again looking over at Karl "Sorry Karl but this spot is mine!" I laughed when I saw the look Karl gave Ranpo "Oh Karl" Ranpo turned his attention towards me rubbing his head into my neck shocking me when I felt him starting to kiss and lick my neck "R..Ranpo d..don't-" Ranpo kept going tho licking up my neck but what made my face heat up even more was the sudden feeling of Ranpo's leg in-between mine rubbing up against me "Ha R-Ranpo not in f-front of K-Karl" Ranpo ignored my request and kept going.

Ranpo grazed my neck with his teeth before biting down leaving a mark "Hah R-Ranpo" Ranpo soon let go licking the bite mark he left on my neck kissing it before leaning back admiring his work he created "Ranpo what was that for?" Ranpo looked at me almost like he was looking at one of his sweets "Well I have to claim what's mine somehow" Ranpo's statement shocked me enough to where I covered my face with my hands until Ranpo pulled my hands away from my face kissing my lips softly, before I could kiss him back he pulled away leaning his head on my chest falling asleep "Night Ranpo" I leaned over turning off the bedside lamp before heading to bed as well.
