It's the time for both the families to return back to their own mansions. After a lot of crying sessions Nandini finally sat inside the car.
Anirudh did try to console her but nandini kept crying, "um...nandini ik you're sad but please don't cry like this, tabiyat kharab ho jayegi" He gave the water bottle to her.
She took a long sip, finishing half the bottle, then glanced at him with a faint smile.
It was the only exchange they had shared since waking up from their nap, just moments before reaching the Oberoi Mansion.
After 75mins they finally reached oberoi mansion, anirudh came out of the car and opened nandini's side of the door.
Both of them stood at the grand entrance, ready for the griha pravesh ceremony. Anika welcomed the newlyweds with an aarti, her eyes glistening with emotion as she blessed them.
Following the rituals, Nandini was gently asked to kick the rice-filled kalash with her right toe—symbolizing prosperity entering the home. She did as instructed, the kalash rolling forward softly. Then, she stepped into the thali filled with alta, the crimson liquid staining her feet beautifully.
With quiet grace, she walked ahead, leaving behind delicate footprints on the white cloth laid out before her—marking the beginning of a new chapter in her life.
"Ok that's it now please let us do the actual competitions" Rudra came from behind with a bowl filled with milk and rose petals and placed it at the centre.
Anirudh and Nandini sat facing each other, their eyes occasionally meeting with soft smiles, while the rest of the family laughed and chatted around them, basking in the joy of the moment.
Everyone seemed to be enjoying the post-wedding warmth—everyone except Kaamini, who stood at a distance, her jaw clenched and eyes burning with fury as she watched the happiness unfold before her.
In rudra's command both of them placed their hands inside the bowl, in the first attempt anirudh found the ring out, no one cheered for him of course they were all in nandini's side. In the send round nandini took out the ring and cheers and applause filled the hall. In the third round anirudh again found the ring but instead he slide the ring to nandini's side for her to win.
"Ani aise toh dekha nahi jaa sakta but mujhe pata hai tune abhi kiya kara hai" Viv jumped from behind and whispered in anirudh's ear.
"Chup reh toh tere liye aacha hoga and about the ring I want her to rule me, my heart, my everything. She's the only woman whom I want as the queen of my life"
Their playful bickering came to an abrupt halt as everyone suddenly broke into cheerful applause for Nandini.
"Well, looks like we already know who’s going to rule in this marriage!" Gauri teased with her usual spark, grinning wide.
Laughter echoed around the room, but Nandini remained quiet, her head slightly bowed, a faint, subdued smile playing on her lips.
"Aacha one more ritual left then you both can take rest.....if you want" Anika said the latter part smirking at them.
Anika gestured Anirudh to pick nandini in his arms and climb the stairs to their room.
This signifies that the husband will always be his wife's first support system, no matter what happens he will be always be by her side, if she feel any kind of discomfort in his house, he'll try to resolve her discomfort standing by her side and comforting her.
Anirudh nodded and effortlessly scooped Nandini into his arms. The moment their eyes met, the world seemed to pause. Holding that gaze, he slowly ascended the stairs, his steps steady and sure, never once breaking eye contact. He entered their room and gently placed her down on the bed with utmost care.
Just then Saisha’s voice called out, "Bhai, come here! We need you for something!"
Anirudh stepped outside, only to find the younger clan already assembled, grinning mischievously as they blocked the doorway like loyal gatekeepers.
He raised an eyebrow. "Alright, what’s this now? Another one of your kiddish games?"
"Stop being a spoilsport bhai and give us money or else we won't allow you to enter inside."
Shaking his head anirudh handed them his card, "take this and leave." Talking to themselves the younger clan went away.
He stepped inside and found Nandini struggling to open her hair.
“I… if you don’t mind, may I help?” he asked softly.
“It’s okay, Mr. Oberoi. I can manage,” she replied quickly, her voice a little flustered.
But he didn’t wait for permission. With careful hands, he moved closer and gently began untangling her hair, making sure not to hurt her. His touch was light, deliberate.
“Thank you so much, Mr. Oberoi,” she whispered once he was done.
He smiled warmly and subtly gestured toward her suitcase, silently suggesting she change into something more comfortable.
About fifteen minutes later, she stepped out of the washroom, dressed in her nightwear, her expression softer now. “I’m done, Mr. Oberoi. You can change.”
Anirudh, lost in his own thoughts, blinked out of his daze, quickly grabbed his clothes, and walked into the washroom.
Meanwhile, Nandini felt a little restless. Wanting a moment to herself, she opened the balcony doors and stepped outside, letting the cool air wash over her as she stood in silence, trying to process everything.
Just then her lips formed into a smirk.
She quickly composed herself as she heard the bathroom door open.
“Nandini, you’ll catch a cold. Come inside,” Anirudh said, his voice gentle but firm.
She nodded and stepped back into the room, quietly locking the balcony door behind her.
“I’ll take the couch. You can sleep on the bed,” he offered, glancing toward the corner.
“It’s alright,” she replied, her tone light. “This bed could probably fit four people. We’ll manage just fine.”
“You’re sure you won’t be uncomfortable?” he asked, a hint of concern in his voice.
“Mr. Oberoi,” she said with a playful glare.
He raised his hands in surrender, mumbling a quick, sheepish “sorry” with a smile before settling into his side of the bed.
"Good night Mr. Oberoi"
"Good night Mrs.Oberoi"
Nandini's eyes widened but she quickly composed herself and went into a deep slumber.
