In the evening.

The room felt heavy, suffocating in its silence.

Nandini stood by the tall window, staring out at the sprawling Oberoi estate as the sun dipped below the horizon. The golden light faded fast, replaced by the creeping shadows of dusk. The walls around her seemed to close in, carrying memories she was desperate to bury — but that would not stay buried any longer.

Anirudh watched her quietly from the doorway, the weight of unspoken things hanging thick between them.

She finally turned to him, her eyes sharp, burning with a cold fire he hadn’t seen before.

“Where are they?” Her voice was low but deadly clear.

Anirudh stepped forward, careful not to startle her. “Ranjit, Rishi, subham?”

She nodded, lips pressed tight.

“I kept them exactly where you told me—safe, but caged. In your usual place.”

She didn’t flinch. Didn’t hesitate.

“Take me there.”

Her words were soft, but laced with steel.

“I want them to regret every second they spent torturing me.”

Anirudh’s brow furrowed, a flash of concern breaking through his stoic mask.

“Are you sure? Are you ok....it’s not easy.”

She met his eyes, voice colder than the night outside. “Right now? No, I’m not okay. But I will be—after I make them pay.”

For a moment, the room held its breath.

Then Anirudh nodded, the fierce determination in her gaze undeniable.

--

They finally reached the place, where everything took a turn in Nandini's life.

Nandini moved toward the door, her steps measured, controlled.

Anirudh followed silently, watching every flicker of pain and fury across her face.

They passed through the grand halls, lights dimmed, echoes muted beneath their careful footsteps.

The deeper they went, the colder the air became.

Finally, they reached the door to the dungeon.

The heavy steel gate stood like a silent sentinel, dark and foreboding.

Anirudh unlocked it with a key worn from years of use.

The door creaked open, revealing the shadowed interior—her usual place of horror and imprisonment.

Her heart hammered in her chest.

But the fire inside her burned hotter.

Stepping inside, the memories crashed over her—chains rattling, screams swallowed by darkness, the cold walls just like how they had kept her, the cruel hands that had hurt her and stolen her future.

She clenched her fists, voice barely a whisper but sharp as a blade.

“They thought I’d break. That I’d beg. That I’d disappear.”

She turned slowly, eyes blazing.
“But here I stand. Still breathing. Still fighting.”

Anirudh’s gaze never left her, steady and unwavering.

“Today, you won’t be the victim. Today, you become their reckoning.”

Nandini’s lips curled into a cold smile.

“They’ll regret every moment they thought they had power over me.”

Her voice dropped, smooth and deadly, the kind of cold confidence only someone who’s touched the edge of darkness could carry.

“Tell them this isn’t just revenge. It’s a warning.”

Anirudh’s hand found hers, grounding her. “We’ll do this together.”

She squeezed his hand back, a fierce promise burning in her eyes.

“Together.”

The door shut behind them, locking out the world above.

Inside the shadows, the cold fire of revenge was just beginning to blaze.

The heavy steel door groaned open, its hinges protesting against years of rust and neglect. Cold, stale air rushed out from the dungeon, carrying with it a whisper of past horrors—pain, fear, and betrayal trapped within these walls.

Nandini stepped inside, her heels clicking sharply against the cold stone floor.
Beside her, Anirudh followed silently, his gaze steady, protective.

The chamber was dimly lit by flickering fluorescent bulbs, casting long shadows that danced along the damp walls.

In the far corner, three figures sat huddled—bound, disheveled, and beaten down. Still Alive.

Ranjit, Rishi, and Subham.

Their eyes snapped to the entrance the moment the heavy door slammed shut behind Nandini.

Fear bloomed like poison in their pupils.

They had seen her broken before. They had seen her plead, cry, and plead again.

But not like this.

Not the woman who now stood before them.

Gone was the scared victim they once controlled.

Before them stood a storm—silent, cold, and merciless.

Her gaze locked on each of them in turn, piercing and unforgiving.

A chilling smile curved her lips—an unyielding promise of the hell to come.

Ranjit swallowed hard, the sweat gleaming on his brow as the weight of the moment crushed him.

Rishi’s fists clenched the chains, his knuckles white, heart pounding with dread.

Subham averted his gaze, unable to meet the steel in her eyes.

Nandini’s voice broke the suffocating silence, low and cutting like a razor.

“𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙗𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙬.”

Her words echoed through the chamber, icy and deliberate.

“The torture you inflicted on me? It will be doubled.”

No mercy.

No hesitation.

Only retribution.

Anirudh’s presence behind her was a steady shield, but all attention was on her—the queen of vengeance standing tall amidst the ruins of her past.

The men exchanged fearful glances, knowing with grim certainty that their nightmare had just begun.
