Golden morning light spilled through the sheer curtains, casting a warm glow across the room.
Nandini stirred first, her fingers brushing against something firm and warm.

Anirudh.

Still fast asleep, one arm lazily thrown over her waist, his hair an unruly mess and lips slightly parted.

She blinked at him for a moment.
Why does he still look stupidly handsome while sleeping?

She smirked and slowly—very carefully—tried to lift his arm and escape.

Bad move.

His grip tightened instantly.
“Where do you think you’re going, Mrs. Oberoi?”

Nandini laughed, caught.
“To brush. I don’t want to kill you with morning breath.”

He opened one eye dramatically.
“I just kissed you last night after you had pani puri. I’ve been through worse.”

She rolled her eyes.
“Gross.”

Anirudh pulled her back into bed. “Stay. Five more minutes. I want to bask in the glow of being the luckiest man alive.”

“Oh please,” she teased.
“Last night you almost tripped while trying to look cool. That glow?”

“That was a performance,” he claimed, eyes twinkling.
“For dramatic effect.”

“You dramatically fell on my perfume bottle.”

“That perfume bottle shouldn’t have been there! It’s a weapon.”

They both burst into laughter, the kind that made their cheeks hurt and hearts feel full.

Then she traced his jaw lightly. “You know… last night was different.”

He softened instantly.
“Yeah. It felt like... home.”

A beat passed.

Then Nandini leaned in and whispered with a smirk, “Also, you snore.”

Anirudh gasped, genuinely offended. “I do not.”

“Oh, you do. I’ve got witnesses. Saisha said she thought an earthquake was coming.”

“Lies! I sleep like a ninja—graceful and silent.”

“You drooled too.”

“Okay, that I don’t deny.”

After exactly 15mins, they both got up from the bed.

Nandini hurriedly ran towards her closet.

Anirudh also went to shower giving her a smirk.

But returned again, "Nandini have you seen my towel so I can go shower?". Aimlessly searching for it.

"let's go together, let me wrap myself around you." Listening to her words Anirudh's mouth hund open.

He internally blushed, and wondered. "How did she turned so bold out of nowhere?"

After innumerable attempts to hold her. He accepted his defeat and went to take shower.

They dissolved into laughter again, tangled in blankets, tangled in love—finally getting a taste of the normal, silly, happy life they never thought they'd have.
