"Sit inside," Jungkook said to Annie.

She opened the door to the back seat.

"Not there, in front." His voice was firm.

She looked at him.

"What? Sit already."

She glanced at Minji, who was busy on her phone.

Annie nodded and sat in the passenger seat.

Minji took the back seat.

Annie was in the car, feeling awkward. She didn't know any of them.

She looked out the window. Jungkook glanced at her and rolled his eyes.

Typical middle class!

"So, Annie, how are your studies going?" Minji broke the silence.

Minji and Annie had met a few times before, as Minji was ISEUL's aunt. They had exchanged a few conversations.

"Umm, good."

"You’re a student?" Jungkook asked, pulling her attention toward him.

"Yeah, I am," she replied shortly.

"Which college?" he asked firmly. She looked at him, but his focus was on the road.

"In SNU."

"Where do you live?" he asked.

"We are just about to reach..." she said, and he nodded.

After a few minutes,

"Stop right here; we have reached," she said, and he stopped the car.

"Thank you." She opened the door and got out.

He also got out of the car.

"Wait."

She turned to him.

"Where is your home?" he asked, looking around.

"A little far from here. Actually, we live in a rental house, and our landlord doesn’t allow us to bring friends home," she explained.

"I am not your friend," he cut her off immediately.

"No, no, I didn't mean that. Of course, we are not friends. I just mean he doesn’t like it if we bring someone home," she replied.

"We?"

"Me and my younger sister," she said, and he nodded.

"Should I go?" she asked.

He stared at her for a few moments.

"Oh, your jacket." She thought he was standing there for his jacket.

She tried to remove it, but he caught her wrist.

"Keep it on."

"But I have it on."

"Shh, I don’t like anyone laying their eyes on what is mine," he said calmly, looking straight into her eyes. She looked at him, confused.

Realization hit her like a rock.

Her eyes widened. Did he just call her his?

"What do you mean by 'yours'?" she stuttered.

"Isn’t it obvious? Mine means mine. You are mine," he said firmly.

Her jaw dropped.

How can he say this so easily?

She felt thousands of butterflies in her stomach.
