Arjun's POV:
I left Aryan at the cafe and headed to Krish's company. Since I visit often, everyone in his company knows me well. I went straight to his cabin, where I saw him working on some files. He gave me a huge smile.
"AJJJJJJ, you came soon?"
"Yeah, I wanted to go back soon. There are lots of customers at the cafe," I replied.
He sighed. "Fine, let's go select the ring real quick then."
He got up and put his arm around my shoulder. After some time, I whined, "You know I suck at selection, Krish. Why the hell did you ask me to come with you?"
He clicked his tongue. "But I don't have anyone else apart from you, AJ."
Oh, this drama king—he has thousands of friends other than me; he's such a social butterfly. I scoffed, "Fine then, I choose this." I pointed to a ring with two diamonds and an infinity symbol.
His eyes lit up. "Even I fell in love with that ring from the start, Arjun. See, you know your friend well."
I got up from my seat. "Whatever. I'm leaving now."
I walked away before he could say anything. Within seconds, he followed me with a tiny bag in his hand.
"What?" I asked.
"I'm coming with you to the cafe," he said.
"Why?"
"It's been so long since I saw Aryan, AJ. Why, you don't like me coming?" he pouted, wiping some fake tears as if I'd fall for his dramatic ass.
"Suit yourself, Mr. Chakravarthy."
He punched me slightly. "Hey, you know I hate being called that."
"And that is exactly why I called you that, MR. CHAKRAVARTHYYYYY."
He chased me, but I ran faster. Soon, we reached the cafe, laughing about something, but Krish froze, looking at something. I followed his gaze and froze as well.
ROOH? What is she doing here again? I sighed. She had ruined my morning routine, and now this. Aryan was happily sitting on her lap and chatting. How did this little master attach himself to her so much?
Okay, wait. I froze because of Rooh, but what about Krish? I shook him a little, and he panicked.
"AJ, Myra is there. Look at me and say, am I still looking handsome? Am I looking okay at least?"
"Myra? Who Myra?" Then it clicked. Myra Sharma is his fiancée, or rather, soon-to-be fiancée. "Is she here?" I asked.
He nodded vigorously like a puppy. I chuckled. "Where?"
He pointed directly at Rooh's table. Shit, I'm screwed.
"Hey, icebear, here!" She waved at both of us.
Krish asked, "Do you know her from before?"
I sneered, not liking it a single bit, and whispered, "I will tell you later!" We both went to them.
"Hi, bhaiya. Hi, Arjun bhaiyya," said Sanju. Wait, what is she doing here? Maybe she noticed my frown because she said, "Oh, I work at Aarohi ma'am's company, bhaiyya."
What a damn small world!
"Hi, angel," Krish said, hugging Myra. I almost wanted to throw up at their affection. Myra looked at me and extended her hand.
"It's very nice to meet you finally, Arjun. Krish has told me many stories about you."
I shook her hand and gave her a small smile. "Likewise, Myra."
