Vencie POV:
In a secluded, dense forest far from prying eyes, a furious voice echoed through the trees, shattering the stillness of the night.
"What do you mean you lost her? It's been six freaking months, and we still haven't been able to do anything to them!" The king's voice was a mixture of anger and disbelief, resonating with the kind of authority that made even the most hardened men tremble.
The king's right-hand man, his head bowed and hands trembling, tried to explain. "King, she's always surrounded by the Golden Three. If not them, then there are bodyguards around her at all times. And even when she's alone, she's more than capable of taking down our men. King, we need to plan something else."
The king groaned in frustration, running his hands through his hair as another man came rushing into the room, panting heavily. "King, the drug deals for this month... they've reached the port, but all of them have been confiscated."
The king's eyes flared with rage as he shot up from his chair, his voice a thunderous roar. "Who is it?"
The man stammered, barely able to get the words out. "Uhh... it's... Arjun Sir's men."
"ARJUN SOORYAVANSHI!" The king bellowed, his voice so loud that it seemed to shake the very foundations of the hideout.
His men, sensing the storm of anger about to unleash, quickly scattered, not wanting to be in the path of their manic king's fury.
Only the right-hand man remained, trapped in place, cursing himself for his inability to bring his king any good news.
"Find their weakness!" the king ordered, his voice a dangerous whisper now, thick with menace. "There must be one!"
The right-hand man sighed deeply, knowing the futility of the king's command. "Sir, they are each other's strength. I'm afraid... there's nothing I've found in these six months."
The king fell silent, his mind racing as he considered his next move. His eyes narrowed as an idea began to form. "Find Arjun's biodata," he commanded after a moment. "As far as I know, Aravindh has only one child."
The right-hand man nodded quickly, grateful for the opportunity to leave the king's presence, even if only for a moment. "Yes, King," he said, bowing before hastily exiting the room.
The game was far from over, and he was more resolved than ever to bring Arjun Sooryavanshi to his knees.
(Author scoffing- As if I will allow you 😏)
"Aaru, seriously, you're going to turn 14 soon. You need to stop doing childish things," Myra said, shaking her head in disbelief. Aaru just scoffed and then exchanged a mischievous look with Harsh.
Harsh sighed deeply, already feeling the weight of what was about to happen. "Seriously, Aaru, you're going to be the death of me one day."
Aaru giggled, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "So, are you ready to execute our plan?"
Myra crossed her arms, looking unimpressed. "Sorry, I'm not doing anything."
But as soon as Aaru gave her best puppy eyes to Harsh, he was done for. Poor Harsh couldn't resist it and nodded unwillingly, knowing all too well that Arjun would likely kill him for this later.
In the past six months, Arjun had become extremely protective of Aaru. He knew the dangers lurking around her and had even shared his concerns with Aravindh.
Everyone around Aaru was hell-bent on keeping her safe, which she hated because it made her feel caged. She was never without bodyguards, and when she confronted Arjun about it, he compromised by making them follow her from a distance.
