I closed my eyes, bracing for the impact, and that's when everything flooded back into my mind.

Every single moment, every single memory we had shared came rushing back like a tidal wave.

"I love you, baby. Always and forever." His voice echoed in my ears.

Tears streamed down my face as I opened my eyes.

"I Love you more, Ajju" With that I closed my eyes again with a small smile on my face to finally face my death.

Arjun POV:

I saw the truck speeding towards her car. No, no, please not again— I can't lose her in the same way, not again.

My mind and body were frozen, completely paralyzed at the sight of her car swerving in front of me, shielding me from the impact.

Fear gripped me so hard it felt like my heart was about to burst from my chest. This can't be happening again. Not like this.

My eyes welled up as the tears blurred my vision. I heard the screeching of tires, then the deafening crash. My heart stopped. I panicked, my breath catching in my throat.

Slowly, terrified, I opened my eyes to see her car completely wrecked, smoke billowing from it, the truck speeding away.

No, no, please, not again! My mind screamed in desperation.

"Rooh!" I shouted, frantically running toward the mangled vehicle. The flames were already licking the hood, but I couldn't care less. I was about to break the window when I heard her voice.

"Ajju!"

I stopped dead in my tracks, spinning around. There she was—standing on the edge of the road, both arms covered in scratches and dirt, but otherwise unharmed.

She's okay!

Relief flooded every inch of me, my legs buckling as I fell to my knees. I was crying now—tears of pure, overwhelming relief. I ran to her, and as soon as I reached her, I pulled her into a tight embrace, falling to my knees again, holding her like my life depended on it.

She crouched down beside me, wrapping her arms around me. My head rested against her stomach, my hands clutched tightly around her waist, as if letting go would mean losing her forever.

"Shh, baby bear. Look at me, I'm fine. I'm safe, nothing happened to me," she whispered soothingly, running her hands through my hair.

But I couldn't stop crying, couldn't hold it in. I cried and cried, letting out all the fear, the agony, the guilt I had been holding in for so long. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, I looked up at her, my hands cupping her face, eyes swollen from crying.

"I love you, Rooh. I love you so much," I said, my voice cracking under the weight of my emotions.

She smiled, wiping the tears from my cheeks. "I know, Ajju. I love you more."

My mind spun—shouldn't she be mad? Shouldn't she be furious that I hid everything from her?

I expected her to lash out, but instead, she stood up calmly and said, "Come on, let's go home."

I stared at her, confused. Her response wasn't what I expected, and that only made me worry more.

She smiled down at me, pressing a gentle kiss to my forehead. "I need to see Aryan, Ajju. Let's go home."

I lifted her into my arms, cradling her bridal style as I walked us to the car. She wrapped her arms around my neck and rested her head on my shoulder, unusually quiet. I placed her gently in the passenger seat, and we drove in silence.
