Vencie POV:
"Aryan, I told you to stop running around," said Arjun with a stern voice.
Aryan still didn't listen and kept running around with his toy in his hands, giggling, but his leg got stuck under the mat and was about to fall. He gasped and closed his eyes, but he never fell.
"Gotcha," came another voice, and he felt the same familiar hands holding him securely.
"Maa," he shouted, giggling and squirming in her hold.
"Yes, moonpie, I got you. Don't worry," she pecked his forehead and set him down. He started running again, happily giggling.
That 3-year-old boy had a confidence that whenever he was about to fall down, his princess Aaru would always be there to catch him. Even if he fell, she would be there to blow on that wound and kiss the pain away.
Arjun sighed, falling onto the couch. "This little brat is not listening to me, Rooh."
Aaru sat beside him and laid his head on her lap, massaging it. He sighed in satisfaction and snuggled into her stomach more.
Aryan soon stopped running around and climbed onto the couch, sitting on Arjun's chest, saying, "Maamaa meee."
This little boy had started speaking roughly a year and a half back. He still couldn't speak perfectly in sentences, but he could speak most of the words.
He called Aaru "Maa" and Arjun "Baa." Well, he wanted to call him "Bhai," but that poor boy couldn't pronounce it, so for now, he settled for "Baa," and he called Aravindh "Dada" correctly.
Currently, it was the weekend, and this little family had been home, spending some quality time while Aravindh went to his office as some emergency came up.
Arjun groaned, "You little boy, don't jump on me."
"Ajju, don't shout at him," Aaru said, taking Aryan into her arms and placing him beside her.
"Which college do you want to join, baby?" Arjun asked. Well, Aaru had completed her 12th with flying colors, and she was choosing a nice college to do her BTech.
"I'm thinking about the same as yours, Ajju," she said.
He got up from her lap and looked at her in disbelief. "But it's like 3 to 4 hours' drive from here, baby. Besides, I'm doing it online there, and also I'm in my last year."
Aaru sighed, turning to Aryan. She said, "Hey moonpie, how about you watch some cartoons on TV? Maa wants to talk to Baa for some time."
Aryan, being the good boy for his princess Aaru, nodded. So Aaru switched on the TV, put on some cartoons for him, and pulled Arjun to the garden.
"I'm planning to stay in the hostel," Aaru said, and Arjun was deadpanned. Like hell, he would allow his baby to be away from him.
"Rooh, I—" before he could say anything, she cut him off.
"And you are coming with me, Ajju."
"What do you mean?" he questioned, still not understanding her plan.
"Well, since it's your last year, why don't you enjoy some college days, Ajju? Besides, I will be there with you."
"I'm still not getting what you mean, Rooh," he said, confused by her sudden proposal.
"You have been working ever since you turned 15, Ajju. It's time for you to enjoy your life, don't you think? The company will be just fine without you being physically present there."
Arjun tilted his head, processing her words. "Are you sure about this, Rooh? Did you talk to Guruji?"
Aaru nodded, a small smile on her face. "Yes, I told him about wanting to study in the hostel, and after a lot of persuading, he agreed. It's not like we are leaving forever, Ajju. You'll just be away for one year, and I'll be there for three more years. Moreover, it's not even that far. You both can always visit me, right?"
