Arjun POV:

I know by now you all hate me for shouting at Aarohi, but trust me, I didn't want to shout at her. I hate myself for it too, but I needed to burst out. I had to say something that would hurt her, so that it will make her stop caring for me and Aryan.

The more she cares for us, the more danger she will be in, which I don't want. I want her to be safe, I want to protect her, which I am very much incapable of.

I've lived my life in shadows, trying to shield Aryan, and now Aarohi is stepping into the light, pulling me and him with her.

I don't deserve her care, her love. She deserves so much more, someone who can protect her from the darkness that surrounds me.

As I cleaned her wounds, my heart ached with guilt. She took a shower and came out wearing my hoodie.

I don't understand her obsession with my clothes, but she loves wearing them. Now, since I'm sharing her room, it drives me crazy.

Her long, skinny legs are on full display, and it's becoming very hard to control myself looking at her.

I saw small stains of tears on her cheeks, I hate seeing her cry, even more so when she cries because of me. But I had to do it. Yet, in the end, she chose me, like she always does.

Her father warned me about her breathing problem, and I deeply regret making her run after me.

I sighed as she sat beside me on the bed, asking, "What's wrong, Ajju? You look disturbed."

I shook my head, saying, "Nothing, just a slight headache."

She nodded and came closer. "What are you doing, Rooh?" I asked, and she just pushed my head onto her lap and started massaging it.

I must say, her hands contain some sort of magic because all my troubles suddenly became quiet, and my mind was at so much calm. I closed my eyes and relaxed.

After a few minutes, she asked, "Better, bub?"

Oh, how much I love hearing her call me all kinds of pet names.

I snuggled more into her stomach, the warmth was so healing. She giggled, ruffling my hair, and asked, "I'm hungry, Ajju. Let's have dinner?"

I got up, and she tried to walk. I could see her hissing at her ankle, so I picked her up and took her downstairs, placing her on the counter. I heated the curry, served her plate, and placed it in front of her.

She looked at me. "Eat," I said. She shook her head, saying, "Feed me."

Such a baby she is. Okay, fine, I give in just because she's cute and injured. Wait, her hand is not injured, right?

She whined, "Babybear, pleaseee." Ah, there she goes, showing those famous puppy eyes with which she can even make me buy the world for her or burn it down for her.

I took the plate from the table and started feeding her. She happily munched in. In between, she even fed me.

After we finished, she told me, "Ajju, Baba told you to meet him, right?" I gave her a nod while washing the dishes.

She asked, "Is there something going on between you two, Ajju? You both are acting suspicious."

I panicked but covered it by saying, "Nothing is going on, Rooh. You are overthinking. He just wanted to make sure that his daughter is well taken care of."

She yawned, saying, "Fine. You meet him, I am going to sleep with Aryan."

I picked her up again and dropped her in Aryan's room before heading to the garden where her dad was waiting for me.
