Aarohi POV:
I am so happy right now. All my family, close friends, everyone is here to celebrate my birthday. Usually, I don't like my birthday because this is the day my mother abandoned me and left me with my dad.
But I didn't want to disappoint my dad as he always wants to celebrate my birthday as if it is a festival.
As long as I remember, my Baba was always the first to wish me. I still don't understand how he agreed for Ajju to take me out and wish me first.
But then again, Baba always puts my happiness first, which is why he is my superhero.
He has always been my rock, the one constant in my life. His love and support have shaped who I am today, and his unwavering belief in me has been my anchor. Even on days when I felt lost or abandoned, Baba's presence reminded me that I am loved and cherished.
His strength gave me the courage to face my fears and his kindness taught me the true meaning of family. I don't know where I would be without him, and I am eternally grateful for his love and sacrifice.
We already finished the cake cutting, and now everyone is eating dinner. Ajju has been sulking, not talking to me since I stopped him earlier with Harsh.
I know he is angry at Harsh, but I believe Harsh. Though he likes me, he never crossed any boundary with me.
Most importantly, Proxy is finding out who did that, and he has proofs that it is not Harsh. So, I told him who it might be, and he is already working on it.
"Aaru!" Myra shouted, snapping me out of my thoughts. I smiled sheepishly, "Sorry, I was lost in my thoughts. What did you say again?"
She sighed, "Since today is your birthday, I can't scold you, but for heaven's sake, your best friend is getting married in a week. Can you please concentrate?"
"Sure, sure, sorry," I said.
"We will leave for Goa the day after tomorrow. Almost everything we bought for the wedding has already been delivered there, and most importantly, my bridal dress is also arriving soon at the Goa branch. You should be the one to collect it, okay? So finish whatever work you have by tomorrow because I won't tolerate you working at my wedding," she finished in one go, taking a deep breath.
"Woah, chill babe, I will take care of everything. I promise I won't work. All the projects have been assigned to respective managers. They will call me if anything is wrong. The only thing I have to do is some paperwork for the week and...," I smirked.
She asked, "Oh man, who are you going to kill again? Seriously, who hurt Arjun again?"
I scoffed, "How do you know it is related to Arjun?"
She shook her head, "I pray for that person who touched you or Arjun."
"Don't worry, I won't kill him. Just a small warning will do," I said, and we kept talking about marriage works and stuff.
While talking with Myra, I couldn't help but glance at Ajju. He was sitting at the far end of the garden, looking lost in his thoughts. His jaw was clenched, and his eyes were distant, filled with unresolved anger and frustration. I knew it was because of Harsh.
Before I went to him, Baba and Parth Chachu came to me. Chachu wished me, "Happy birthday, princess."
"Thank you, Chachu."
He smiled but then turned serious. "Aaru, tell Arj-"
Baba patted his hand, signaling him to stop. "What is it, Chachu?" I asked, sensing something was wrong.
