Vencie POV:
Both of them remained in their kneeling position—Aaru on both knees, while Arjun knelt on one knee, holding the ring in one hand and cupping her cheek with the other.
He gently wiped away her tears as he began speaking, his voice soft but filled with emotion.
"My baby, my Rooh, my love, my life... I know this is sudden, and you probably didn't expect me to propose like this. But, my heart... I've been waiting for this moment my whole life."
"This is the third most favorite moment of mine because the first was the day you saw me for the first time in the park, and the second will be when we hold our own baby together."
Aaru chuckled, and so did he, the shared warmth easing the intensity of the moment.
He continued, his voice deepening with sincerity. "I want you to know that no matter what, I'll be here waiting for you, even if you say no today. Love, I've been away from you for years, and those years were nothing but hell for me."
"It's easy to say, but trust me, living without you wasn't just hard—it was impossible. They say you can't die just from missing someone, but believe me when I tell you, baby, I've been dying every single day without you."
"You are my lifeline, my sunshine that lights up my entire world. I know you're the one who always showers me with love, and in our relationship, you love more. I know that. I also know I can never love you as much as you love me, but believe me when I say this, without you, my heart simply wouldn't beat, because you are my heartbeat."
He paused, his hand tightening around hers, his eyes searching hers deeply.
"Today, I'm asking for your permission—to hold these hands for the rest of our lives, to call you mine without a second thought in front of the entire world, to love you for as long as I live."
"Will you let me be lucky enough to share my surname with you? To call you Aarohi Arjun Sooryavanshi proudly in front of the whole world?"
"Will you marry me, my love?"
Aaru was speechless, overwhelmed with emotions. Her tears flowed freely, and all she could do was nod, unable to form any words.
Arjun smiled through his own tears as he slipped the ring onto her finger, then pulled her into a tight embrace.
The sound of clapping interrupted their moment. Aaru pulled back slightly, surprised, and turned to see that the projector had turned on, revealing a video call connected to their entire family—Aravindh, Aryan, Parth, Myra, Krish, Sanju, Dhruv, Shiva, Proxy, and even Choco.
They were all cheering and clapping for the happy couple.
Arjun stood up and addressed them with a smile, "Thank you, everyone, for witnessing this beautiful moment with us. I'm going to hang up now, but we'll be back by tomorrow morning. Aryan, don't stay up too late playing."
With that, he hung up the call, turning back to Aaru. She wasted no time, hugging him tightly once again, burying herself in his chest.
She snuggled closer, feeling the steady beat of his heart, which now seemed perfectly in sync with her own.
***
Aaru had been pacing around the bathroom for nearly twenty minutes now, feeling her heart race for reasons she couldn't fully comprehend.
After the beautiful proposal and the intimate dinner, they had come back to their room to sleep. Arjun had already taken a shower and was waiting for her, but here she was, in the bathroom, feeling something she'd never felt before—nervousness.
