Vencie POV:

The next day, Ajju woke up first, the warm spring sunrays falling directly on his face. He loved spring for its gentle warmth and the soft breeze that seemed to bring everything back to life.

The flowers were in bloom, filling the air with a sweet fragrance, and the mornings were always fresh and full of promise.

He noticed Aaru clinging to him as if her life depended on it, her small body curled up against his. He chuckled softly and gave her a long kiss on the forehead, only to notice that her face was a little pale.

When his lips touched her skin, he realized she was burning up. He quickly checked her temperature, panic rising in his chest.

"Oh my God, Rooh, you're burning up!" he exclaimed.

Aaru groaned softly, her voice still thick with sleep. "Ajju, let me sleep for five more minutes," she murmured in her sleepy, baby-like voice.

Without wasting a second, Ajju dashed downstairs. "Guruji!" he called out urgently.

"In here, Jai," Aravindh called from the garden. Ajju ran to him, his face filled with worry.

"Rooh is running a high fever, Guruji," he said breathlessly.

Aravindh's eyes widened with concern. He quickly made his way to Aaru's room and checked her temperature. It was indeed high.

He sighed, knowing how hard it would be for her to breathe when her fever was like this. Aaru always needed her inhaler close by in times like these, and both he and Ajju knew how much she hated being sick.

Arjun felt a wave of guilt wash over him. He blamed himself for her condition. "If not for yesterday's incident, she would never have gotten this fever," he thought, his gaze falling to the ground.

"Ajjjuuu," Aaru called out, her voice weak from fever and discomfort.

Aravindh said, "Help her freshen up and come downstairs. I'll prepare something for her to eat before she takes her medicine."

Arjun nodded and, as soon as the elder left, he scooped Aaru up in his arms.

"What happened, Ajju?" she asked, noticing the tension and worry in his face. Even in her sleep, she could feel his every emotion.

"You have a fever, baby," he said softly.

Aaru's eyes shot open, and she placed a hand on her forehead, feeling the heat. She sighed and hugged Arjun tightly, burying her face in his neck.

"I hate being sick, Ajju," she whispered.

"I know, baby. I'm sorry. But let's get you freshened up real quick, eat something, take your medicine, and then you can rest, okay?" Arjun reassured her.

Aaru nodded weakly, feeling utterly drained. Arjun brushed her teeth, washed her face, and then carried her downstairs.

Aravindh had already prepared something light for them to eat. Since Radhamma was away visiting her hometown for a few days, it was up to Aravindh or Arjun to cook.

Arjun had learned how to cook from Radhamma, and Aaru loved it when he made her food, so he would cook for her whenever he could.

After eating, Aaru felt even more exhausted, like all her energy had been sapped away. "Baba," she called out, her voice barely a whisper.

Aravindh heard her and quickly sat beside her, pulling her into a comforting hug. "I'm here, Princess," he said softly.

No matter how old Aarohi got, she would always be her Baba's little princess, always needing him by her side.
