Vencie POV:
The six months flew by in the blink of an eye, and yes, when I say nothing changed, I mean literally nothing.
Aravindh continued to be the most understanding father—a true green flag for both Arjun and Aaru. He supported Aaru and Arjun wholeheartedly as they cared for little Aryan.
Arjun, well, he was already a goner for his baby, and in these months, his love for her only deepened. He cherished every moment, every smile, and every laugh that came from Aaru, finding himself more enamored with her with each passing day.
As for our little bean, Aryan, he was as clingy as ever to his Princess Aaru. Well, he doesn't call her that because he's just a six-month-old baby, adored by everyone.
In the beginning, Arjun had a tough time because Aryan would always cry if he wasn't with Aaru, but as time went on, he grew accustomed to Arjun and even to Aravindh.
Aaru was just the same, if not more in love with Arjun than before. Nowadays, she started saying that Arjun is her "sweet little possession."
Despite her schoolwork and other responsibilities, she always found time to care for Aryan, showing just how much she cherished her moonpie.
Arjun still hadn't proposed to Aaru. He wanted to, but one evening when they were on her room balcony, she shared her dream with him.
She said, "Imagine a place where we're surrounded by forests and mountains, a small wooden house, cozy and comforting. Just you and me, far from everything. Wouldn't that be bliss, Babybear?"
That was when Arjun decided that whatever his baby wanted, his baby would get, and he was determined to make it happen.
He'd been planning this for months, waiting for the perfect moment. And today, it was finally happening because his angel was turning 16 tomorrow, and he had arranged everything for her.
Arjun had turned 18 himself, and you should have seen him showing off to his Guruji that he was now a major. Aravindh just shook his head at Arjun's childishness, amused by his enthusiasm.
Right now, Aaru was sleeping soundly; she'd had a long day with school and then taking care of Aryan, so she was exhausted. Aravindh and Arjun were in the living room with Aryan, who was smiling and playing with his toys.
The two men had prepared a cake and were eagerly waiting for the clock to strike midnight so they could wish Aaru a happy birthday in the most special way.
It was 11:59, and all three were waiting outside Aaru's room. Aryan didn't know what was happening, but he clapped his hands when he saw the cake.
Arjun cooed at his little brother and smothered his face with kisses, making Aryan giggle.
"It's 12!" Aravindh shouted, motioning for Arjun to open the door, his hands busy holding the cake.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, DEAR PRINCESS," they sang while Aryan clapped his hands.
Aaru sat up straight when she heard the song. She lazily smiled at her family and rubbed her eyes. Arjun motioned for Aravindh to go and wish her, which he did.
He gave a long kiss on her forehead and said, "My little princess is now in her sweet sixteen. Happiest birthday, princess. I love you."
Arjun smiled at the duo. For as long as he could remember, he had always let Aravindh wish Aaru first. Maybe it was because he knew how much this moment meant to his guruji—seeing his daughter grow up, year after year. It was something sacred, a silent tradition that spoke of their bond and love for Aaru. Arjun wouldn't dream of interrupting it.
