Keitaro was your typical high school student,atleast it looks like that as Keitaro had a secret, he could see supernatural things that other couldnt,those creatures made of negative curse energy, he wonders what they might be until one day fate came...
Relief washed over Keitaro's face as he patted Akane in his arms. Now that her fiery transformation was over and the fact that he wouldn't burn if he petted her, he could just pat the head of his fox companion, she was very cute now that he looked at her.
Akane was seen purring as she leaned into his touch, she seemed quite content with herself as if she had not turned into a fiery fox not 2 seconds ago.
A thoughtful look appeared on Keitaro's face. He now understood the cost of Akane new newfound power.
That Fiery form that she had entered was undeniably very strong, and could probably do a lot of damage to her opponent.
However, the form did not come without its fair share of drawbacks. From what he could feel while she was in that state, it seemed as if she drew upon his reserves of natural energy to sustain that form.
Mentally he did the math in his head, if he did the math properly, about half of the natural energy reserve was used by her just entering that form alone and chances are the more power she used while in this state, the more natural energy, she would drain out of him.
If she didnt use any move that was too strong, he could probably maintain sage mode for about 30 seconds.
He sighed to himself a bit, there was no safe way he could boost the amount of natural energy his body could absorb at once unless he felt like cosplaying as a stone for millions of years to come, he much rather not mess with that.
This meant that he once again had a powerful move in his arsenal but his uses of it were very limited and chances are he would probably have to wait a pretty decent long time before he could gather a sufficient amount of energy to enter that state once again.
He needed a way to maximize the efficiency he could get from this, something in his mind told him that the day he mastered this was the day he wouldn't have to be scared of not being that versatile.
His eyes landed on Akane...he sent a small amount of natural energy to her and her skin slightly turned red, while still touching her, Aaron made the tiger's hand sign before slowly opening his palm to see a fireball sitting in there.
An actual fireball and not just him using his Curse technique to teleport a lot of heat in his hand. A smile appeared on his face, at least there were some up for this.
The best way he could think of to get better at this was through rigorous training, it will take him a long ass time to master this, he needed to learn more about it, testing the ups and downs of this combo.
How much Curse energy it would absorb and how much time he could go into it successfully in a day, now the only thing wondering in his mind was on to master his fundamentals, after all, his arsenal was becoming bigger and bigger every day.
He needed to master his basics...
"Akane...I have an idea" Keitaro said as his Kitsune companion seemed to have read his mind, a strange scroll appeared on the floor and Keitaro's eyebrow turned orange. Akane once again went into that state that she was in a moment earlier.
A small smile appeared on Keitaro's face, it worked, it worked so goddam well. He said that even though he felt his reserve dwindling, it was being refueled faster than it was dwindling.
That small scroll had a lot of natural energy sealed within it and Keitaro was currently using it to see if this would work.
Time skip. Keitaro had made some very important realizations during the time he spent analyzing this new state, so for first Akane could absorb natural energy but she couldn't really gather the energy at a fast enough rate so that she could maintain her fiery state.
This was something that he could easily fix by giving her a scroll filled with natural energy, the thing about that was that the Millisecond that the scroll ran out of energy, she would immediately go through his reserve and he didn't feel like instantly being kicked out of sage mode, because his fox companion was a small glutton.
He felt something bite his hand. "Ouch," He said as he looked down, Akane was seen looking proud of herself.
'I am not a glutton' Her voice was heard saying in his mind again..oh yeah he forgot she could read his mind, although usually she needed permission why could she now get in there without him giving her permission?
'because we are connected' Her voice said in his mind once again, Keitaro's eyes seemed to widen just a bit as his face scrunched a bit, a thoughtful look appeared on his face as he opened his mouth and said "So...in sage mode, you can read my mind, can't you"
