A few hours later, Shoko and Keitaro could seen just throwing ideas at each other.
Stuff about how the pills worked and so on.

Shoko after all was a doctor, even if she had cheated on her test, she knew more about the human body than he did.

Keitaro had started to explain how the pill currently worked, how he would infuse the pills with natural energy to speed up the body's natural healing.

He explained how the pills accelerated cell regeneration was while boosting the cells and body vitality.

"You're already doing well in terms of regeneration," Shoko added, exhaling the smoke from her pipe slowly. "But you're focusing too much on energy infusion alone. The body can only handle so much stimulus before it shuts down to recover from the healing process itself. If you want the pills to be more efficient, you should consider incorporating something that promotes natural recovery mechanisms alongside the energy boost."

Keitaro raised an eyebrow. "Like what?"
His notebook was already out, he was about to start taking some precious notes, they would be very useful in the future.

Shoko tapped her fingers against the table. "There are certain biochemical processes the body triggers when healing itself. For example, increasing the body's production of growth factors and cytokines. You could create a pill that enhances these processes directly, so the body uses its own resources more efficiently instead of relying entirely on external energy."

Keitaro nodded his head, he was intrigued but he was taking notes nonetheless. "That makes sense. It would be less taxing on the person. But how would I regulate that without making the pill too overwhelming for the body?"

Shoko smiled a bit upon noticing his eagerness to learn new stuff, she found it endearing. "You're using nature energy, right? You could balance it with compounds that slow down the release of that energy into the body. For instance, something like a slow-acting catalyst. The pill could have two stages: an immediate release to jumpstart the healing and then a slower release over time to maintain recovery."

Keitaro's eyes lit up at the idea. That was a great way he could use to enhance the current state of his pills "So, instead of everything happening all at once, the body would heal in waves?"

"Exactly. You're giving the body time to adjust, which would reduce strain. And since you're not flooding it with energy all at once, the person can continue functioning rather than being bedridden or exhausted afterward."

Sure that could work, the main reason he had advised people not to take so much in so little time was for the simple fact that if their body did not have enough energy to put them back at full hp, they would get tired quickly.

The side effects were not, nothing life-threatening, the sorcerer would just have to take a few hours' break to let his body heal, or even better yet, just eat a lot of nutritious food.

Keitaro ran his fingers through his hair, he was very deep in. "That would mean using different herbs or ingredients that can regulate how quickly the natural energy is absorbed. Something like a time-release agent?"

Shoko nodded her. "Yes, but you'll need to test how much is too much. Too slow, and the healing won't happen fast enough to save someone in a critical situation. Too fast, and you're back to square one. But if you find the right balance, it could be incredibly effective. The pill would become more versatile, able to handle both minor injuries and more severe ones without overwhelming the patient."

Keitaro would be quite happy upon hearing all of those suggestions that he just wanted to hug her, she was just precious in moments like this.

Being unable to control himself.

He opened his arms wide, he felt immensely grateful for Shoko's help.

Shoko just placed her neck in between his thumb and index finger, he held her cheeks gently in his hands.
She did not seem to mind it at all.

This felt nice, now all that they needed to do was to test out their theory, she probably wouldn't let him test it on himself...so the rats were going to get tested on.

Unfortunately, he would have to feed them better food for the next 4 weeks for their unwilling sacrifices.

He however promise not to forget them.

They were quite useful in his discovery of new stuff and for that small info, he would thank them from the bottom of his heart.

Those mice and rats truly were the greatest help.

His schedule was packed, but he had a few free days, he teaches Megumi around 1 to 3 times a week.

He would leave the boy with a book that Megumi should practice with on his own.

Akane weirdly enough was 95% of the time being used as a Tsumiki ride, she would dress Akane in a cute outfit and treat the Kitsune like a cat or dog.

The Kitsune seemed to have no problem with it, it was her master's wish to protect the child and thus she would do as she was asked.
