chapter - 8 ( The banquet)

Jiwoo reached the palace and decide to meet the crown prince first.

He got reply from the emperor that the crown prince is ready to make him his concubine not a main wife which pissed him.

He is going to personally meet the prince first and then attend the banquet .

He asked Minji to go the banquet and then went towards the crown prince's place.

Minister daehyung couldn't come for some reason but he asked jiwoo to be careful while talking to crown prince about this.

Taehyung got ready and watched himself in the mirror. He himself was amazed seeing how good he looked.

He went outside to see the general was waiting for him, he also was wearing a royal blue outfit which was simple but it looked really good on Jungkook.

When Jungkook turned around and saw taehyung he was amazed seeing how pretty he looked. He felt like not going to the banquet at all he would rather stay in his bed with him.

Jungkook shook his dirty thoughts and offered his hand. Taehyung took his hand and they both went inside the carriage.

Inside the carriage taehyung sat beside Jungkook and he could smell the similar sandal wood fragrant from him.

They both were silent throughout the ride but it wasn't awkward.

When they reached the royal palace Jungkook helped taehyung to climb down from the carriage and they started heading inside.

Taehyung was amazed seeing the palace, it was his first time seeing it not just hearing from people.

Jungkook held his hand and they started walking inside.

People couldn't stop looking at them specially taehyung since it's the first time they are seeing him.

If he wasn't with the general they would have thought he was a prince from another country.

They reached the place where the bouquet was happening and the guard looked at Jungkook and then opened the gate for them.

Taehyung got really nervous seeing the big room. Inside the room there was bigger and higher place where the emperor and the empress was
sitting. Other sits were on the each sides.

Everyone was looking at them with wide eyes, many people were even seeing the general for the first as he don't attend these things.

Seeing taehyung's nervous Jungkook started caressing his hand like telling him no need to worry.

" This way " a servent showed them their sit which was really close to the emperor and empress.

Jungkook kneel down on the ground and seeing him taehyung also followed him. They both greeted the them.

" Welcome Jeon, I didn't expected you to come. But here you are congratulations on your marriage. I was surprised when I heard you married a minister's son, I thought you will marry any prince or princes from our neighborhood country but now I can see why you choose him " said the emperor looking at taehyung.

" Didn't know minister daehyung and general Jeon was so close with each other. They didn't even let us know about this union..."
The empress said sarcastically. She continued

" Your wife dressed up really well. I never knew minister daehyung 's second son was this beautiful. "

Jungkook could understand what the empress was trying to say. She is not happy that taehyung dressing was too much for mere general's wife but he ignored her remark and thanked the emperor for congratulating.

He then made taehyung sit on their seat before settling down beside him.

Minji was shocked seeing taehyung dressing up like princess consort and how gently Jungkook was treating him. And people's remarks about taehyung made her more mad.

Everyone was whispering to each other about taehyung. They can't believe taehyung was this pretty since they thought he was ugly that's why he didn't came out of his house.

" He is most beautiful submissive I have ever seen"

" Jiwoo is nothing infront of him, no wonder the general choose to marry him "

" They both look so good together "

" Look at his outfit, it seems like the general is treating him well "

Taehyung and Jungkook became the centre of attention specially taehyung since people were curious about him.

Minji's friend suha who was sitting next to her understood the situation and decided to create trouble for taehyung.

She smiled and said " Taehyung, This is your first time attending a royal bouquet and meeting these people right ? They are curious about you, why don't you share your interest with us like here we already know so many things about each other. "

She pointed at a submissive and princess saying " Like he knows how do sword dance, she knows how to flute, your brother jiwoo is good at calligraphy. What's your talent ? "

Hearing this minji smirked knowing taehyung don't have any answer.

Taehyung's heart started beating fast hearing this question, he wasn't afraid for himself, he was used to it.

He was feeling afraid for the general, what they will say that the general choosed a useless person like him.

However he didn't had to answer,
The general said " taehyung knows how to cook delicious food for me, he is also good at doing embroidery. "

The people couldn't help but aww at his answer however suha wasn't satisfied, since she knew minji never let taehyung learn anything, she
said " I get that you two recently got married but atleast let him answer, taehyung looks nervous. You really know how to to embroidery taehyung ? "

" My wife is shy when it comes to new people. He don't feel comfortable with everyone. And are you suspecting that I am lying about him ?" Jungkook looked at her seriously making her nervous.

" That's not what I meant, I apologise for my words. I just wanted to listen to voice" she said nervously.

Taehyung could feel Jungkook's anger and decide to speak " I can do pokshik, chasu and kansung embroiders, I can prove it if you all want. "

Everyone was surprised by his deep voice. Not every submissive had that voice, they got more curious about him.

One girl looked at taehyung and said " It's okay taehyung you don't have to prove anything. We believe you. "

Then she looked at suha and told her "And you, This is his first time attending this kind of bqnquets if you keep talking to him in this tone I doubt he will return to these kind of events in future. Be kind to him. "

The empress who was quietly seeing all the drama looked at minji. Honestly she was taken aback by taehyung's beauty like others. If she knew about him she would have made him crown prince's wife as she thinks her son deserve the best.

She couldn't help but ask " Minji, you were hiding taehyung all these years or what ? You always talk so much about jiwoo praise him but I never saw you talking about taehyung. "
