Clio

I arrived at the bar na hinihingal at puno ng pawis ang noo, nadatnan ko sila Rhett at Hezron na balisa at halos hindi mapakali. They were walking back and forth in the entrance of the manager's office.

“ Asan sila? ” Agad napatingin sa akin ang dalawa nong nagsalita ako. They both ran to me, worried.

“ Ano ba ginawa mo?! ” Pasigaw na bulong ni Hezron sa akin, sa totoo lang hindi ko rin alam. Ginawa ko lang naman ang dapat kung gawin.

Does he want a refund? Just in case he does, I brought the money with me. Nangutang pa ako ng 500 para mabou ulit ang 100 thousand na binigay niya.

“ Bilisan mo na sa don sa loob, baka matigok si Manager. May dalang baril pa naman 'yun. ” Turo ni Rhett sa pintuan ng office ni Manager.

“ If hindi ako makalabas diyan ng buhay call the police and take Calliope somewhere safe. ” Bilin ko bago pumasok sa office.

I saw Zilas on the couch, sitting like he owns the place. A gun in his hand, and 5 men behind him. Just who is this guy?!

Hindi man halata pero takot na ako kanina pa, ayaw ko pang mamatay. I still want to see Calliope catch her dream. Masyado pang bata si Calliope to be abandoned. I don't want her to suffer the same fate as I did.

The room atmosphere is heavy, parang may mamatay ngayon mismo kung may magkamali.

“ Clio, ” agad na tawag ni manager sa akin nong tuluyan akong makapasok. Lumingon agad si Zilas sa direksyon ko, his emotions softened when he saw me.

“ Bear, ” he called out to me with a smile on his face. He put the gun beside his seat as he kept looking at me.

“ Thank you manager, for a moment I thought you had tricked me. If you did call the police, I would have no choice but to put a hole in your head. ” I can sense the seriousness in his voice, he's really planning to kill someone if I don't arrive.

“ May nagawa ba ako? Were you unsatisfied? I'll return the cash to yo— ”

“ Unsatisfied? No, it's quite the opposite actually. ” He cut me off. If satisfied naman siya why is he doing this?! May galit ba 'tong taong sa akin? Ano bang ginawa ko?

“ Can you all leave us alone for a while? I need to talk to him privately.” His orders made the bodyguard hesitant to leave us alone, they probably thought I'm someone that can kill their boss because of my build.

I can't even hurt a fly let alone hurt a man! Despite my big figure I can never harm anyone.

“ Boss? ” One of them approaches Zilas trying to make a reason so they won't have to leave the room but all it takes was a glare from their boss. They immediately followed the orders given to them.

“ Be careful,” Manager whispered before finally leaving the room.

Nakatayo parin ako sa may entrance, habang si Zilas nasa gitna ang kuwarto naka upo. It's just the two of us now.

“ Why don't you take a seat?” He opened his hand gesturing me to take a seat in front of him, so I followed him.

“ Why did you call me here? ” I asked as my eyes landed on his blue orbs.

“ I want to take responsibility for what happened last night, ” napaubo ako ng biglaan sa kaniyang sinabi. Responsibility? Anong responsibility tinutukoy niya? Uminit bigla ang aking mukha dahil pumasok sa isipan ko ang mga nangyari nong gabing 'yun. I can still feel his length inside me of which makes the situation worse and embarrassing at the same time. I want to be swallowed by the earth, please! Spare me!

“ So, please. Marry me! ” Out of nowhere he opened a box with a ring on it.

Tangina?! Anong marry?! May saltik ata to sa ulo.

“ I will take full responsibility and be a man, I won't run from it. So, please marry me! ” He kneeled on one knee like a man proposing to his long-time girlfriend.

Confirmed, may saltik nga sa ulo ang lalaking 'to.

“ What happened last night was a part of my job, there's no responsibility for you to take. ” I explained it to him, trying to knock some sense into his head.

“ What? A job? Your job is to be fuck?” He tilted his head like an innocent child just hearing this from an adult.

“ Well, yeah. ” I replied.

He went back to his seat, closed the box with the ring and stared at me like I did some crime. His warm personality shifts into something unlikely, he looks pissed.

“ How many men have fucked you? ” It was a straightforward question, he didn't even blink.

“ That's personal, I won't answer such. ” I answered him. To be honest, he's my first customer that did not run off when they saw me. Therefore, he's the only person who fucked me. Just thinking about it makes me shiver.

“ Let's make it something less personal for you. How many customers have you had? ” it was easier to chew now that he filtered it out, but still it's something personal. I don't want to tell him that he popped my cherry, that would be embarrassing.

“ I won't disclose such information,” why am I even denying this to the bone? Let's just finish this up so I can return to my daughter.

“ Did you call me here just to propose to me? Well, if that's the case it's not needed. As I said, it's my job. If we have nothing to talk about I'll take my le—”

“ If you leave this place I'll bomb the whole establishment into ruins, ” pagputol niya sa sasabihin ko, he looks serious as if he'd really do it. Napa upo ako ng maayos dahil sa narinig.
