I was a coward... Fear got the best of me, I'm too scared Alastair might come at them again I had to do something to protect them. I'm sorry Clio, I'm sorry if I hurt you. Mahal na mahal rin kita. No words could explain how much it hurts me when you take the ring out of my finger, it was so painful I had to cry for three days and weep for a week. It hurts me more than it hurts you, Clio.

“ Hey, Hey.. I'll give you one thousand, go buy something at that restaurant and come back to me with the receipt. ” There was a random guy who happened to pass by and I offered him a great deal, I saw how lonely Clio's restaurant is so I can't just stay and watch.

“ Sure ka po? Baka mahal ang bilihin d'yan ah. ” He was hesitant, I guess a thousand pesos is not enough for him. Fine, I'll double it.

“ I'll give you two thousand, order and eat something at that restaurant. ” I pointed at Clio's small restaurant. “ If you come back here and present a receipt, I'll give you an additional two thousand. But promise me that you won't tell them that I sent you, if the owner happens to know, the morning sun won't rise on you. ”

“ Sige sige, ” he finally agreed. I fetched my wallet and grabbed a pair of thousand pesos and handed it to him, the man happily walked towards the restaurant and went inside.

This is the least I could do, Clio won't accept my money anymore. I'm scared he's wage might not be enough to support their daily food consumption. My eyes are on the restaurant, looking intently at it hoping to catch a glimpse of the man who owned my heart.

“ Lady, do you want to earn two thousand pesos? ” There was another passerby, the lady in her college uniform looked at me confused.

“ Kuya, huwag po. Kahit guwapo ka po, hindi ko po kayang ibenta ang katawan ko para sa pera. ” I was taken aback by her statement, what the fuck?! Where did she get that idea?! The only marketable portion of your body is your organs, miss. Delusional.

“ No one will buy your body, don't worry. What I want you to do is go to that restaurant and buy something, I'll give you an additional two thousand if you come back with a receipt. ” I pulled out another two thousand from my wallet and showed her the money, the woman looked at the restaurant I was talking about.

“ Kuya, kuya? Kuya? 'Yung two thousand ko po? ” She kept on poking me I have to make distance between us, this woman is annoying. I swear to god if I find her leeching around Clio, I'll skin her alive.

“ Eat at that restaurant, bring a receipt back to me and I'll give you an additional two thousand. ” I explained, the woman looked at the restaurant again and started nodding. She reached for the money but before I gave it to her, I left a final word. “ W oman, Don't tell him, I sent you. ”

“ Kuya, Mika po hindi Woman. Hindi ka po bagay gumamit ng term na woman woman na 'yan kasi mukha ka pong si barbie na may etits. Mga Mafia boss na black hair at bulky body lang po ang puwedi. ” It was her last statement before she crossed the street. That made me angry for no reason, just because I have this face doesn't mean I'm not allowed to use that word!

I kept on paying people to eat at Clio's restaurant, he needs to earn enough money in order to feed Calliope and himself. Clio, is thinner when I last saw him. He probably hasn't eaten properly because of what I did, my poor Clio, if only I had a choice. I don't like to be apart from you Clio, it hurts to think I'm not allowed to come close to you. I don't want this but for you and our daughters safety, I must make a sacrifice. If I caught that Alastair, I'll skin him alive and chop his body into small pieces, I'll let the dog feast on his flesh. I swear.

“ Zilas, do you want to eat? ” I didn't realize Alther was here, he prepared dinner for me. It doesn't look appetizing like Clio makes, I don't want to consume anything that he makes. When I look at Alther, all I see is a companion and never a lover. We never fuck, I can't even imagine it. It was all a set up so Clio will think I cheated on him, after the phone call I burst into tears and cried the whole night.

“ You can eat it alone, I'll sleep early and go to work. You should leave after you eat, don't forget to lock the door. ” I immediately went to my room, without even changing my clothes I slammed my body on Clio's part of the bed. It smells like him, I miss him so much.

I grab his pillow and bury my face on it, I can't put into words how much I miss his warmth and love. Clio, when everything is settled and peaceful I'll court you again. I'll mend the heart I broke, I'll let you experience the happiness you always deserve.

Clio, I'll let this book end with you, but in the next book, it will be the two of us at the altar saying our wedding vows. I promise you that.
