" A gathering? " Tanong ko kay Zilas nong nakuwento niya na may gathering na magaganap ngayong gabi at expected kaming dumalo, ngayon niya lang sinabi kaya hindi ako nakabili ng bagong damit ni Calliope para soutin mamaya. Hindi narin kaming puwedi mamili ngayon dahil tatlong oras na lang at start na, malayo pa byahi namin.

" Yes, it's a gathering to welcome Alther's father back home and to finalize an agreement between Haiden and Romaclov. " He explained, nong nabanggit niya ang surname ng lalaking 'yun nawalan ako ng ganang sumama. Baka puwedi dito nalang kami, hindi naman kami Romaclov ni Calliope eh.

" Daddy bought Calliope a dress, it's in that paperbag. As for you, I bought you a suit and tie. No more excuses, Clio. You'll come with me whether you like it or not. It's also a chance for you to meet my grandaddy, he's dying to see Calliope and you. " Mas lalong ayaw ko ng sumama when he mentioned meeting his grandfather. The Romaclov's have been nothing but nice to me pero I heard rumors spreading around their estate about how bloody his grandfather is.

I'm sure he'll definitely like Calliope, because my daughter will be the first granddaughter, daughter, and niece of the entire Romaclov. Their family never had a female child, hence why they're so warm when Calliope called Zilas mommy. But that doesn't apply to me, I will be viewed as the man who stole Zilas from them.

" Sige na nga, " pag sang-ayon ko. Zilas smiled and gave me a quick kiss on the lips.

" I love you, Clio. " He muttered. I returned his kiss and whispered I love you back to him.

" I'll change my clothes and after that you should follow, I'll change Calliope so you won't have to hurry. "

We did what Zilas had planned, after he changed his clothes I soon followed while he changed Calliope's dress. Nong matapos na ang lahat, tingnan ko muna ang sarili ko sa salamin. I look decent enough to face his grandfather, hindi masyadong guwapo pero may itsura naman.

" You look handsome, Clio. " Biglang pagsulpot ni Zilas sa walk in closet namin. Pumunta siya sa harapan ko ang fixed my crooked tie.

" Handsome as always, " he gave me a peck on the cheeks.

" I love you, " I took his hand and kissed the back of it. He looks beautiful in that suit, this is the first in my life that I find a man in a suit as a total hotty.

" I love you more, " he also gave my hand a kiss. Maybe, we could just stay here all day and adore each other. My hand held his waist and pulled him closer to my body.

" Clio, we'll do it later. I don't want to dirty your suit. Let's go." Pag pigil niya sa gagawin ko, nasa mood na sana eh. Hinawakan niya ako sa kamay at madahang hinila palabas ng closet at kuwarto.

" Papa!" Bungad ni Calliope nong nasa living room na kami.

Forget about Zilas, look how pretty my little girl is. She's wearing a white plain dress with pears and ribbons paired with a white doll shoe that has a fake diamond on top and a ribbon strap. Calliope looks like an angel. She's beautiful. Too beautiful for this world.

Lumapit ako sa kaniya to carry her but she refused to, she step back para hindi ko siya makarga. It low-key hurt my feelings.

" Papa, if you carry me matutupi damit ko. I don't want wrinkles on my dress. " She pout.

" I'm sorry, Calliope. Hindi na mauulit." I was about to reach for her head to pat her pero kahit 'yun pinagkait sa akin. She took another step back para hindi ko siya mahawakan.

" Papa, my hair will be messed up. I'm grown up na, don't treat me like a baby." Sabi niya habang pinoprotekhan ang kaniyang buhok mula sa akin, her hair is braid in the back with lots of hair clips that match her dress.

" Grown up? No, you're not a grown up. You're papa's little girl, hindi ka grown up para kay papa." Sagot ko habang nakatingin sa kaniya. Calliope I know you want to grow up but please, don't grow up too quickly. Let papa cherish you, let papa experience this phase of your life. Don't grow up too quickly and remain papa's little girl.

" Mommy oh, papa said I'm not grown up daw. " Sumbong niya kay Zilas.

" Papa is right, Calliope. You're not a grown up yet, you're our little girl. Don't rush baby, I'm sure you'll grow soon enough but as for now let yourself be mommy and papa's little girl." I'm glad Zilas was backing me up.

After the conversation we headed to where Zilas parked his car, nasa front seat ako nakaupo while si Calliope sa back seat wearing seatbelt since she refused to sit on one of those seats for kids. Zilas drives off to our destination, it was a long drive so she let Calliope borrow his phone while we talked.

Whenever we're together Zilas never let me drive, he said it's his greatest pleasure to see me as his passenger princess. He likes it when I sit beside him and we talk as the car moves, s'yempre hindi na ako magrereklamo. It's his own will kaya I'll just enjoy this.

" So, anong agreement ba pag kakasunduan don? " I couldn't help but ask, namention niya kasi kanina na may agreement kaya na curios ako.

" It was kept as a secret from us, not even my father knew about it. " Sagot niya, well, if ano mang agreement 'yun sana madali nilang matapos dahil hindi pa nga ako nakakarating e nakakapagod na. Maraming businessman ang pupunta don I'm sure, higit pa sa lahat andon si Alther. Tsk.

" Clio, please bear with this. It'll be just for tonight, I'm sorry for dragging you with me but as my fiancee you are expected to be my partner in this type of event. " Saad niya habang nakatingin sa daan, I was hoping for a normal life with him but I guess it's too much to ask. He's family is rich, there's no such thing as normal life. I'm not going to complain any further though, this is Zilas life and I must learn to navigate through it.

" I love you, " I uttered out of nowhere. I really do love him with all my heart, hindi nga lang halata pero I cherish him like how I cherish my daughter. He became someone important to me.
