Clio

What we discussed yesterday got to Zedric, he wasn't happy about. Their plane just landed in Russia but he immediately asked his pilot if he could get on the plane again so he could travel back to the Philippines, everyone there tried their best to change his mind. One of his staff called Zilas so he could calm his grandfather, the staff explained everything to us. The plane, the way he shouted at the pilot for refusing to travel back, and the urgent business he needs to attend to.

It was all in English and on speaker so I heard them struggling with a lot of shouting at the other line.

“ Dedushka, ty dolzhen slushat' svoikh sotrudnikov. Vy uslozhnyayete im zhizn'. ” Oh, Zilas spoke in Russian. I can't understand a single word that came out of his mouth.

(A/N: " Grandaddy, you should listen to your staff. You're giving them a hard time. " Ako na bahala sa translation kasi hindi nakaka intindi si Clio.)

“ YA prosto ne mogu ostavit' eto bez vnimaniya, klio takoy teplyy i dobryy molodoy paren'. Alasteru pridetsya stolknut'sya s posledstviyami svoikh deystviy, ya vozvrashchayus' na Filippiny i razberus' s nim. ” Their accent makes everything sound so darn serious, it's the thick accent that gives them such intimidating vibes.

( Translation: I just can't let this go unnoticed, Clio is such a warm and kind young guy. Alastair will have to face the consequences of his actions, I will return to the Philippines and deal with him. )

I saw Zilas massage his temple using one of his hands, ano ba kasi pinag uusapan nila? Bakit napaka stress ata ni Zilas. Baka sumakit ulo nito kaka isip.

“On zaplatit za sodeyannoye, no seychas tebe nuzhno byt' ryadom, u tebya yest' chto rasstavit' prioritety. ” Zilas told his grandfather which was followed by a heavy sigh on the other line. Zedric sounds annoyed.

( translation: He will pay for what he did, but now you need to be there, you have things to prioritize.)

“ YA perestanu podderzhivat' ikh kompaniyu, on ne zasluzhivayet moyey podderzhki. ” I heard Zedric from the other line.

( translation: I will stop supporting their company, he doesn't deserve my support.)

Why am I eavesdropping on them? I couldn't understand their language. There's no point, wala akong masasagap.

I'm still at home, today is sunday which means there's no classes nor work. Calliope is resting her head on Zilas' thigh as she watches her favorite show on the tv right in front of the bed. To tell you the truth, she has her own television in her room pero sabi niya mas better daw ang quality dito kaya dito siya nanonood.

“ Calliope, do you want to talk to grandaddy Zedric? ” Tanong ni Zilas sa anak ko, napatingin sa kaniya si Calliope at tumango. She took the phone from him.

“ Grandada!! Kak vy? ” Calliope exclaimed.

(translation: Grandaddy, how are you?)

They talk for about 30 minutes before ending the call for an urgent matter, it was the three of us again. Watching television like a normal family does.

“ Zilas, ” I called out to him when my daughter decided to leave the room and get something downstairs.

“ Hmm? ”

“ Puwedi bang hindi na natin paki-alaman si Alastair at Elodie? Alam kung mali ang ginawa nila pero ayokong maungkat ang nakaraan, ayokong madamay kayo. Let's live our lives without them, let's just forget what Elodie did. Matagal na 'yun eh, please. ” Both Alastair and Zilas are influential people, alam kung lalaki ang issue kapag na involved na sila. I don't want that.

“ It'll always be mommy, papa, and Calliope against the world. ” He added looking at me in the eyes.

“ You'll always have me. ” He mouthed at me before kissing Calliope on her forehead.
