“ Clio, are you okay? ” I heard a gentle tone as a hand wrapped around my fist, napatingin ako kay Zilas who is now looking at me with concern.

“ Yeah.... I'm fine...” I answered with a smile on my face, he doesn't have to know about Elodie.

“ You're trembling. Here's my coat, this will warm you up. ” Zilas removed his coat at nilagay 'yun sa balikat ko, I'm not feeling cold, I'm trembling because of extreme anger.

“ My hubby and I are really happy that you made such a warm welcome for us. ” Elodie spoke with a smile on her face, it was such a bright and innocent smile. What a hypocrite. Hypocrite. Hypocrite!

I want to throw something at her, I want to shout at her, I want her to experience the same pain and suffering I did! How can she smile like that?! Paanong kung makangiti siya parang wala siyang tinalikurang responsibilidad?!

“ Do you know her, Clio? ” Napabalik ako sa realidad when Zilas asked me a question.

“ She's...... Uhm.... She's..... She's familiar.” Sagot ko sa kaniya. I don't want to lie but if I tell him the truth this very moment I'm sure he will make a scene, ayaw kung sirain ang pinaghirapan ng kapatid niya, ayaw kung magka issue. This will be the last time I'll see Elodie, alam ko namang hindi na kami muling magkikita pa.

“ You don't seem to be well, ” he caress my cheeks “ I'm sorry for dragging you into this Clio. I didn't know you were sick. ”

I shook my head and held his hand, “ I'm okay. Don't worry about me. ”

“ Are you sure? ” Paninigurado niya.

“ Sure na sure, ” I assured him.

And so, the event went on. Alastair's speech was only 20 minutes long but for me it felt like ages, especially because Elodie was there standing beside him. I can't shake off the thought of her betrayal and abandonment. Zilas was concerned about me and asked if I would prefer to go home and rest, but I refused, I don't want to drag him with this matter, he needs to be here and I don't want to neglect that idea.

“ And now, may I introduce the head of Romaclov; Zedric Romaclov.” Finally, it's about time for Zilas' grandfather to make an appearance. I heard a deafening round of applause from everyone, they were very excited to see Zedric.

I look closely at the stage, may dalawang bodyguard ang umaalalay sa isang lalake upang makaabot sa podium. Hindi ko makita ang mukha kasi natatabunan siya nong isang guard. I tried finding an angle to see him while I was sitting pero wala talaga, bigo ako.

“ It's my grandaddy,” Zilas spoke as he was looking at the stage the same as me.

My jaw dropped when I saw the man, he's....... HE'S THAT OLD MAN FROM BEFORE!!! He was wearing the same stripe shirt na may butas sa dulo at nasa kamay niya parin ang cupcake na binigay ko kanina. SIYA ANG AMA NI ZAIMI?! SIYA?!

Lumingon agad ako kay Zilas “ he's your grandad? ” tanong ko habang tinuturo ang matandang lalaki.

“ Yeah, he i—”

“ FATHER! ” Natahimik lahat sa sigaw ni Zaimi, kung makasigaw parang may na aksidenti. Napatingin tuloy kami lahat sa front, Zaimi was on the stage beside his father.

“ Father, you can't eat that! Didn't the doctor tell you about your sugar?! ” Zaimi tried taking the cupcake from his father, but Zedric stretched his arm para hindi ito makuha ng anak niya. Oh boy. I'm in trouble... Hindi ko alam na bawal pala sa kaniya 'yan, akala ko gutom siya.... Nakakahiya ako. Sobrang nakakahiya.

“ Aba, tigil d'yan. Mamatay lang din naman ako kaya hayaan mo na ako. ” Pang guilt trip ni Zedric sa anak para hayaan siyang kainin ang cupcake.

“ Dad, mas mapapadali ang kamatayan mo kapag tinapos mo 'yang kainin. ” It was the first time I heard Zaimi speak in Tagalog. The first time I heard him panicked as well.

“ Naka dalawa na ako nito, kahit agawin mo pa 'to ngayon it won't make a difference. ” They're in front of a mic so everyone could literally hear them, they didn't complain though. It was a sight to behold honestly, like a theater show.

“ What?! Who gave that to you?! I asked the staff to prevent you from taking any pastry! ” With that I immediately averted my eyes from the stage. Oh wow, tiles pala ang floor nila dito. Nice. Oi, may flower sa vase. Teka, wine ba 'to? Matikman nga. I lifted the wine glass with red liquid inside and took a sip, I know for a fact that this is wine but I'm trying to make myself occupied of things para hindi halatang ako ang may gawa.

“ H'wag kang KJ, ngayon lang 'to. ”

There was a lot of arguing between them until Zaimi finally found out it was me who gave his father the dessert, tiningnan ako ni Zaimi as if I'm going to die after this event. Zedric went on with his speech while the cupcake was on his head, every minute his taking a small bite and spoke again. The contract Zilas mentioned was about a business offer. Alastair immediately accepted the offer.

And soon the event ended with a very luxurious dinner and a party. It's not the usual party, the music wasn't that loud, there wasn't someone dancing on the stage, may banda at singer na kumakanta ng love song habang ang guest ay nag uusap ng business matters.

I was on my seat eating the cupcakes Zilas brought for me, it was sweet, the icing tasted like clouds and the cake was soft.

“ You look beautiful, ” he uttered as he was staring at me eating this cupcake.

“ Hey, I've been meaning to ask you. Can I lick your ass the next time we had sex? ” Something immediately got stuck in my throat kaya napa ubo ako ng matindi, I feel like dying because my airway has been blocked by something. I grabbed anything that could be drunk, my hand lifted the brandy and gulped it on one go. Zilas panicked for a second when he saw me suffer. Buti nalang the brandy help, I feel light now that I got rid of that cupcake on my throat.

“ What is wrong with you?! Bakit bigla kang nagtatanong ng ganiyan?! ” Pasigaw kung bulong.

“ I heard it feels great for the bottom if you lick thei—” I immediately covered his mouth. Nakakakilabot mga sinasabi niya.

“ No, no. You can't. Please. Don't even try. ”

“ Baka, gusto mong makipag business talk sa mga tao dito. You can leave to talk to them, ” I was urging to speak to someone else para ibahin ang topic.

“ Don't push me away....” He made a sad face.

How can a man be this cute and beautiful?!?! My heart skipped a beat when he pout at me, it was so cute!

“ Romaclov, I was looking for you.” My happiness immediately faded when I heard his voice as his footsteps were approaching us.

“ My wife Elodie wants to talk to you. ”
