Clio

I arrived home, feeling drained. Nakakapagod ang magalit. Sana kasi hindi na siya nagpakita eh, wala na kaming dapat pang pag usapan. Siya mismo ang nag sabing ayaw niya kay Calliope tapos ngayon gusto niyang makita?! Gagohan lang ba?! I'm satisfied with my life without her, I'm happy with Zilas who loves my daughter. Hindi niya na sana ako pinuntahan, hindi na sana siya nagpakita! Iniwan niya na ako, huwag na siyang bumalik dahil nakakapagod na. Masakit ang makita siya dahil naalala ko ang mga kahayopan niya!

In the shoe rack I saw Zilas black shoes and other shoes I didn't recognize, I don't want to jump into conclusions dahil baka sa kapatid niya o sa lolo niya. Zilas will never cheat on me like Elodie did, his obsessed with me so he wouldn't dare to think of another man but me. I removed my shoes bago pumasok sa loob, everything looks clean kasi hindi naman makalat si Calliope at Zilas, lalong lalo na ako.

The fragrance of our house immediately calmed my anger down, for a moment nakalimutan ko kung bakit ako galit. The whole place literally smells like roses, parang perfume ni Zilas. He said it would be better this way para siya agad naiisip ko whenever I come home to this smell, I don't want to admit it but it works. The smell reminds me of him.

I feel sweaty and disgusting, hindi na ako nakapag bihis sa restaurant kasi nagmadali na akong umuwi. I climbed up the stairs to get to our bedroom, but as I did my feet feels heavy as if my strength have been drained. Hihiga nalang ako sa kama andito na nanaman si Zilas, I'll relax while hugging him.

When I arrived at the second floor I saw our room door open as if may tao na sa loob, it's probably Zilas. Naglakad ako papalapit don at agad pumasok sa kuwarto, I startled Zilas who was putting his shirt on. Muntik siyang napatalon nong nakita ako bigla.

“ Jeez Clio! You're going to kill me! ” Saway niya habang nakahawak sa dibdib tila sobrang nakabahan sa nangyari.

“ Why are you here earl— ” my sentence was cut off nong may nakita akong mga panlalaking damit sa sahig. It was messy. It wasn't mine, and it certainly isn't Zilas.

Hindi naman siguro siya—... No! Zilas would never cheat on me.. Baka sa kapatid niya ang damit na 'to at 'yung sapatos sa labas. Tama.. Sa kapatid niya. He promised to not cheat on me, we're bound to be married kaya alam kong he will never cheat... Hindi niya magagawa 'yun. He's different from Elodie.

“ Clio?  ” Tawag ni Zilas nong natahimik ako, he walked closer to me and caressed my cheeks with his hand. His soft and warm hands that held me full of love and sincerity.

“ What's wrong? ” He asked with his forehead on mine.

Zilas will never cheat on me.

“ Nothing, I was just thinking about something.” I was going to lean for a kiss but I stopped when someone emerged from our bathroom door. Agad kung natulak si Zilas palayo sa akin when I saw the man, it was Alther who just got out of the shower, a towel on his waist to cover him up.
