Clio

I sat Zilas on the soft sofa, we gave him water and calmed things down. He was regaining his remaining sanity back, little by little his pulling his braincells back to his brain. Alther over here is still staring at me with daggers in his eyes, if he could kill me right now he would. Of course being the fighter that I am, nakipag tatagan ako ng titig sa kaniya until he gave up. Good for him.

" So, what did I do? " I asked Zilas nong kumalma na siya.

" At the mall, you were with a woman... You're buying her jewelry.." He was on the verge of crying again. My head immediately went for a flashback, at the mall and a woman. Ah, 'yung kanina with Viviane.

" He should be hung ." Alther whispered to himself, it was low but loud enough for me to hear him. This guy still holds a grudge over me for having Zilas, note that Zilas is his ex and not his lover anymore.

I should clear up this misunderstanding. " That was Viviane, she was my manager way back in my old job. She was there when I was buying something so we talked for a bit. "

" This is supposed to be a surprise but since it's gotten to this point, here..." I fetched the small box in the inner pocket of my coat and handed it to him " I bought a ring for us to wear. It'll symbolize that you already belong to me and I belong to you. "

Napatingin lang si Zilas sa box ng singsing, as if hindi ito makapaniwala sa nakita. Everyone was silent as well, including Alther and his brothers.

" Oh, alright lovebirds. We'll leave so you can have this moment. Let's go.. " Zaven had the initiative to pull Zern and Alther out the door and leave the place. I want to kick him out myself but that would be rude of me, ayaw kung maging masama sa tingin nila.

" You- You bought this for me? " Tanong ni Zilas, napatingin ako sa kaniya. He opened the box revealing a ring. Zilas sobered up quickly.

" Yeah, I did. It's supposed to be a surprise as I mentioned but you went havoc so I have no choice. " I'm not blaming him for ruining the surprise but I kind of did, if only he asked like a normal person none of this would've happened and this would still remain as a surprise.

" I'm sorry. Jealousy got the best of me, I really thought you were with a woman because you're always busy and tired. I'm sorry I was insecure, it's just that I was scared that you might leave me. " He apologized with tears in his eyes, wala siyang dapat ekaselos. I already know who I belong to.

" Stop crying, your eyes will get puffy. " I wiped his wet eyes.

I kneel in front of him and took one of the rings out that match the size of his finger " Here, I'll put this ring in your finger. This will bind us together, always remember that through this ring I commit myself to you and only you. I love you, Zilas. " I gently put the ring in his finger and gave him a gentle kiss on the lips, I'm always his. Always.

" Clio.... I love you so much, I'd kill for you! " He jumped on me and hugged my neck, it was tight para akong nasasakal. Pero, I don't mind. This hug is warm, my arms wrap around his and I hugged him back.

" I love you too but please don't point a knife at your neck, you'll hurt yourself. " I warned him, this was the first time I've seen Zilas act like this. A knife at his neck could end badly if I was late, who knows what he might do. Baka itarak niya na talaga sa leeg niya 'yung kutsilyo.

" I'm sorry, I was so jealous. I'm sorry. " He kept begging for sorry.

" It's alright, h'wag mo lang gawin ulit 'yun."

Umupo si Zilas pabalik sa sofa, he fetched out the remaining ring at sinout sa akin 'yun. " I love you, Clio." His voice is soothing and filled with love. I may not say it enough, or may not act like it but I love this man with all my heart.

And so, we fixed the matter. Zilas called his brother and apologize to them, he also called Alther and explained things to him. I really hate that guy. After an hour, Calliope arrive home. She was smiling and showed us the quiz she got a perfect score on, I hanged her paper to the refrigerator door.

" We learned Russian in school, like super duper difficult Russian language." Calliope uttered in excitement, she was talking to Zilas who's currently sitting beside him. I, on the other hand is cooking dinner for us. Nasa kusina rin ang dalawa, they're at the kitchen island talking about school.

" Ooh, really? Speak to mommy with some Russian words, " Zilas asked Calliope to see her progress. Napangiti si Calliope at niready niya ang sarili.

" Moy papa sil'nyy, a mama kra-krasivaya ." I can't understand a word she said but it seems like a nice word since Zilas smiled at her and even patted Calliope's head, I'm happy that my daughter is enjoying every bit of her childhood.

" Translate it to papa, " utos ni Zilas. He probably noticed how left out I was, but I don't mind. Kahit hindi ko naintindihan, alam kung masaya ang pinag uusapan nila.

" No need, ayos lang. " Sabi ko habang naglalagay ng oil sa kawali.

" In English; My papa is strong and mama is beautiful. " She did translate it to English for me, napatingin ako sa kaniya. Calliope looks so proud to learn a bit of Russian.

" I still have a long way to go, Zaza and Zizi can already speak fluently while I'm still finding my words." She pout, there's absolutely no need for her to compare herself to those two. Zaza and Zizi are the nicknames for Zilas' nephews, they were born in Russia but studied here in the Philippines.

" There's no need to compare yourself to them, Calliope. You're the best in mommy and papa's eyes, " Zilas cheered her up.

" That's right, Calliope. Papa and mommy will always support you. " I added.

What a perfect family that we have, I've always wanted this and finally I have it. Thank you.
