May mga bagay talaga sa mundong 'to na hinding hindi mapapa sa atin kahit gustong gusto natin. Zilas could never be mine despite how much I love him, he chose to marry someone else, someone with the same level as him. I don't hate him for it, rather I hate myself for not being enough. I should've loved him more, I should've cared for him more. Hindi sana hahantong sa ganito.

Calliope and I moved out when Zilas and Alther made their engagement official in the public, I texted Zilas our new address dahil bibisitahin niya si Calliope. He promised to not abandon my daughter. Suportado niya parin ang tutors ni Calliope pero hindi na ako pumayag na kahit pagkain namin siya susuporta, masyadong nakakahiya na. Last kaming nag kita three months ago when Calliope and I moved out, he said we could keep living in his house kasi bibili nalang siya ng bago pero hindi ako pumayag. Nakakahiya kay Alther.

" Papa, wala pa ba si uncle Zaven? " Tanong ng anak ko habang pabalik balik ang tingin sa pintuan. Usually si Zaven or Zern and pumupunta sa bahay para kunin si Calliope, ayaw ata ni Zilas makita ako.

" Mamaya siguro anak, " tugon ko habang nililinis kalat niya. My daughter have been lively like she used to andon parin ang takot niya pero hindi na gaya nong nakalipas na mga buwan, na timid talaga siya.

" Papa, miss mo na ba si mommy? " Napatigil ako sa ginagawa ng marinig ang tanong niya, my eyes dropped to my finger, I'm still wearing our ring, as for Zilas ring na hinubad ko sa kamay niya nilagay ko 'yun sa kuwentas as sinout.

" Oo naman, miss ko na mommy mo. Pero, ganito kasi baby, si mommy at si papa hindi na puweding mag live in the same house kasi si mommy may work sa malayo tapos si papa may work dito." I explained, sana hindi masyadong obvious ang pagsisinungaling ko.

" Do you still love mommy?" Tanong niya ulit. Calliope naman, huwag mo paiyakin ang papa..

" I love your mommy more than anything, " I answered with my heart slowly being clenched by a strong hand. Mahal na mahal ko siya kaya nga hinayaan ko siyang maging masaya sa piling ng iba, I don't want to be selfish, I want to see him happy. The type of happiness I could'nt give him because I was too broken and foolish.

" Mommy also loves y-"

Napatigil siya sa sasabihin when someone knock on our door, sila Zern or Zaven na siguro 'yan. Naglakad ako patungong pintuan at binuksan 'yun, I saw Zern wearing his usual clothes.

" Nak, andito na ang uncle Zern mo. " Tawag ko sa kaniya, may narinig akong mahinang kalampag mula sa loob, just a few seconds later I felt someone clinging to my legs. I looked below and saw Calliope, she was wearing his bagpack kasi pupunta daw silang beach for three days.

" I already pack her everything she needs, nilagay ko na din sa bag ang teddy niya. May mga snacks narin siya just in case magutom siya while on the ride, at comfort blanket niya nasa loob narin. " I explained, habang nakatingin kay Zern.

" Hindi ka talaga sasama? " He asked for the final time, I don't want to ruin their vacation. It'll probably make Zilas uncomfortable, I want him to enjoy pero if andon ako baka hindi siya mag enjoy.

" Hindi na, may trabaho pa ako bukas. " Palusot ko, kung maayos lang kami ni Zilas baka ako na pumunta sa bahay nila ngayon.

" Calliope, come. Let's go, " Zern held Calliope's hand and gently pulled her out of the door.

" Bye papa, " she waved her little hands goodbye at me while they walked away.

" I'll bring her back Clio, you can call her while she's with us. We won't mind. " It was the last statement I heard before they went into Zern's car, I stayed at the door frame until Zern drove off somewhere far.

I closed the door behind me and locked it, bumalik ako sa living room, my eyes scanned the couch for the remote until I found it. Kinuha ko 'yun and turn the TV on, nasa kids channel ang TV kaya I changed it into the news channel where Zilas and Alther's wedding will be broadcast nationwide. I want to see how handsome he is on the day of his wedding.

I wish him nothing but happiness, sana maging masaya siya sa buhay na tatahakin niya, kung saan siya sasaya doon na din ako. I'll support him in the shadow, hindi ko alam kung kailan ako makaka move on pero I'll take my time.

Alther and Zilas both walked down the aisle, when the camera focused on Zilas face my tears fell from my eyes. Napaka sakit parin pero kailangan kung tanggapin, Zilas is no longer mine, he will never be mine. Masaya na akong makita siyang masaya sa lalaking mahal niya. Mahal niya na ba talaga? Zilas might change his mind, baka may rason siya kung bakit niya 'to ginawa. Hindi niya mahal si Alther..

I grabbed my phone and was about to make a phone call to Zilas when I realized kung gaano ka mali ang gagawin ko, why am I making false hope? Tama na! Let Zilas be happy, mas masaya siya sa kaniya. Papakasalan niya ba ang tao kung hindi niya mahal? I need to move on.

I need to collect myself and move forward, Zilas is already married, he's happy. He'll live a happy life and I should keep on being happy for him, I know Alther will give him enough love he deserves, Alther won't question Zilas love, Alther will give him everything he desires.

This marks the end of our chapter, Zilas. Clio Stormhell will finally close this chapter and let a new one unfold, maybe in the next one I'll experience what long lasting happiness feels like.
