Tarini's Pov:

I looked at the clock getting out of the dressing room and it was already eight. I again woke up late today, though I have been trying to change this habit for a long time, but habits really die hard I guess. Shrugging my thoughts, I looked at the bed where my husband was still sleeping. Great, I have some competition.

"Aviraj, wake up. It's already eight." I slightly shook his shoulder when he slowly opened his eyes, directly looking at me. Is it necessary to be so captivating early morning? The way he stares at me, that messy hair, those brown orbs and...Take a break.

Taking my eyes off him, I reminded myself of my mantra of not getting pulled towards him. Of course, I can do it.

Without saying anything further, I turned around and walked to the dressing table. I could sense his gaze on me which I chose to ignore and continue my work. After getting ready, I was about to leave the room when I felt his presence behind me.

"I have a meeting today, and I am late. Will you please take out my things for me?" He requested politely, irking me. Another day, another excuse for the same thing, I get his tactics very well.

"I neither have time nor any interest in doing these tasks. So please ask someone else and excuse me." I didn't mind to turn and face him, making my way straight towards the door when he held my wrist from behind.

"But earlier you did these things on your own, willingly. Then what changed Tarini?" I stopped myself from snapping at him hearing his choice of words. Do I need to remind him what changed and who is the reason?

Yes, because earlier I was a fool! I wanted to reply, but kept quiet. Never mind, nothing is going to make a difference to the man who understands only business and not emotions.

"Bas kuch aadato ko haalat badal dete hai aur kuch ko sabak. And instead of wasting time in the same old conversations, you can do your work on your own." I said firmly, facing him this time. I jerked my hand, pulling my wrist out of his hold.

(Some habits change due to circumstances and some due to lessons.)

Getting out of the room, I heard him sigh and murmur something for which I least cared. This is getting difficult day by day. Why does he have to do this daily when he's aware we don't have anything between us?

He was the one who turned us into nothing...even two strangers would be in a better position than we are. Now, what else does he wants to prove?

I reached the kitchen where Chachi was already preparing breakfast along with the staff. I closed my eyes for a second to clear my mind before entering.

"Good Morning chachi. I am sorry, I got up late again. I'll help you." I said, when she looked at me with a smile, shaking her head in denial.

"It's okay bache. Breakfast is almost prepared, you go and get the table set." She replied, pointing towards the preparations. I nodded my head and walked out, instructing the staff.
