Aviraj was in his room, his eyes fixed on the door, anticipating Tarini's arrival. Shortly, she emerges, draped in a stunning pink saree, taking his breath away.
The intricate stone work adorning the edges and blouse shimmers, giving her an ethereal glow, complimenting her radiant beauty. Her only adornment around her neck was her nuptial chain, drawing attention to her understated simplicity.
Her dark, wasit-length hair cascades down one shoulder as she struggles to secure her golden earring on the opposite side. Their gaze meet, and he feels his chest tighten.
Tarini brushes a strand of hair behind her ear, noticing his intent stare. Her eyes drifts back to him, who was standing tall, dashing in his tailored dark green tuxedo, making her heart skip a beat.
The perfectly fitted attire hugs his frame perfectly, highlighting the lines of his physique. His neatly styled hair compliments his polished look, while the open top two buttons of his crisp white shirt adds a hint of casual charm.
"You look absolutely mesmerizing. Do you realize that now I won't be able to concentrate on anything other than you?" The words slip out of his mouth, causing a delicate rose hue to bloom on her cheeks.
"Aap mujhse flirt kar rahe hai?" She asks, her tone inquisitive yet soft. He mirrors her tone, replying, "Ji. Aapko koi aitraaz?"
(You are flirting with me?) (Yes. Do you object that?)
Her complexion deepens to a subtle blush at the formal address, and he adds with a smile, "Waise apne ekalaute pati ke flirt karne se aitraaz hona toh nahi chahiye."
(However, you shouldn't mind your one and only husband flirting with you.)
Tarini shakes her head, dismissing remark, and Aviraj walks towards her, his eyes locked on hers. "You need any help?"
She hesitates for a moment to ask his help, but then changes her mind. "This earring is being a trouble. I will go and wear another one." She turns back to leave, but Aviraj stops her holding her wrist.
Stepping ahead, he stands behind her. "Let me help you."
He holds the earring, and carefully slides it in her ear. His fingers make contact with her skin in the process, sending unwanted butterflies fluttering in her stomach.
"It's done. Shall we leave?" he asks, rechecking the lock.
Tarini nods, ignoring her racing heartbeats, and she speaks, "You didn't tell me where we are going."
"You will see when we get there." Aviraj's tone was playful, however, her expression change to serious, and it doesn't go unnoticed by him.
"You know, this is the first time we heading for a dinner like this," Tarini mutters, a jab masked beneath her plain words.
