Tarini was working on her laptop in her room when a knock on the door disturbed her. "Come in," she utters, engrossed in her work when after few seconds, she feels the bed getting dipped because of a jump. The next moment, she is engulfed in a hug from behind.
"Diii, I know you missed me soo much." Jivika shouts in excitement, stretching the words in between, locking her hand around her.
"You scared me. Is this how you meet your sister?" Tarini fakes anger, keeping her hand on her heart after getting out of her grip.
"Why? Oh, I understand only Jiju is allowed to meet you like this, right naah?" Jivika questions keeping a hand on her waist, raising her brows and making her sister glare at her.
"You just came and started. Come and sit first, then talk." Avoiding her teasing comment, Tarini pulls her hand, making her sit next to her.
"Tell me, how is everyone at home? Nani was not well, how is her health now? How is your work going?" She asks her questions at once, as they take their seat.
"Easy Di, everyone is fine including Dadi, but she misses you every day. And about work, it's also going well, I guess." Jivika answers, smiling at her concern.
"You tell me, why don't you visit us? I doubt, you even miss us or not. Or don't tell me, Jiju doesn't allow you because he can't live without you, even for few days." There she was back on the same topic, with her over-dramatic dialogue delivery.
"I thought you were here to meet me." Tarini looks at her, rolling her eyes and placing her laptop back in her lap.
"Of course, I am. If not for you, I would not even prefer to walk in front of this mansion." Jivika replies, making a bad face.
"Leave this aside, there is nothing to get jealous of your husband's mention." She adds, closing the laptop as she wanted all of her Di's attention.
"Namesake husband! You know this and please, I don't feel jealous of anyone or anything." Tarini replies trying to keep her tone neutral. Already, his thoughts had made it difficult for her focus on other things, and talking about him was not what she wanted, that too when her mind and heart were so much in conflict.
"Actually, I went to meet someone today and there I saw Jiju in the same place, with a girl. I was here to tell you that only but–", Jivika finally spits it out, looking at her sister in anticipation.
"What? Aviraj and a girl? Who was she? Is this all he does in the office hours? Were they–" Not able to take in the newly found information, Tarini cut her in between, interrogating in a single breath with urgency. But, she stops once she notice Jivika's expression changing from nervous to teasing one.
