CHAPTER THIRTY-SIX

MATTHEW
It's been three days since Trey got back home recovering well day by day. My family have been around a lot and I had to chase them away this morning because they were being too much. My doorbell rings and I see my son who's sitting on the couch smiling instantly looking at the hallway. I pass him running my hands around his hair as I go to open the door.
"Hi." My girlfriend greets me standing by the door looking more beautiful than this morning.
"Hey baby,"" I move from the door allowing her to get inside. "you do realize that I gave you the password so you can use it to get inside without ringing the doorbell, right?" I remind her as we walk to the living room.
"I know. I don't feel comfortable just barging in yet." Thando tells me as she sit where my son is and kiss his forehead.
"How are you feeling?" She asks inspecting his face making sure he's fine.
"I feel fine, you asked me the same thing in the morning, you know?"
Thando has been staying with us since Monday and to tell the truth it's been amazing and I don't want her to leave ever.
"I know but it doesn't hurt to ask again." She tells him as she takes her bag standing up. "I'm going to change then we will talk more."
"Okay."
I stare at my girl as she approaches where I'm standing and kiss me on the cheek before she walks upstairs leaving me instantly hard. My eyes follow her on their own as she climbs the stairs her ass looking deliciously sexy as she moves gracefully and I regret not giving it a little squeeze in the hallway.
I can't put into words what is it about her but I get hard around her every time or with just the thought of her. She's so fucking sexy and it's insane how much she affects me.
"Daddy?"
"Yes?" I clear my throat walking to where he's sitting. "What's wrong my boy?"
"When am I going back to school? I'm so tired of sitting around doing nothing."
"Soon my baby, you just have to recover fully then in no time you'll be going back to school."
"Thank God."
I ask jokingly. "Am I boring you already?"
Trey put his hands over his face hiding from me but I don't miss the smile that he has on.
"Of course not but you know what I mean."
"I know baby. Daddy is just kidding around."
The doorbell rings again.
Good God, my house has turned into a show house I tell you, everyone come and go as they please.
"I'll go and get that." I tell Trey leaving him watching his cartoons.
I open the door expecting to see my mom or my sister but instead I see Miranda holding a bunch of flowers and wearing a leather coat.
I close the door but her heel comes in view stopping me and I stare at her unimpressed and beyond pissed by her presence.
"That's not the way you welcome the mother of your child."
I open the door wider standing in the middle of it blocking her from entering.
"I've got nothing to fucking say to you. Do you realize how pathetic you look right now?"
"What will it take to get you to forgive me Matthew? Look at me I'm on my knees begging for your forgiveness."
I'm caught off guard when she kneels before me her tongue licking my dick through my pants.
I jerk back startled by her action. "What the fuck?" I ask in disgust. "This is fucking sexual harassment! I'm done being nice to you Miranda. I mean it when I say I'm getting a restraining order sent to you before the end of the day."
I close the door halfway when she drops the flowers on the floor and opens her leather coat revealing her naked body.
What. In. The. World. Is. Going. On. Here?
"Babe?" I hear Thando calling me her voice seemingly close to where I'm standing. I run quickly to the crazy woman in front of me trying to close her coat when she looks behind me then smirk before she grabs me by the neck startling me and kisses me. My whole body freeze as she continue kissing me this time assaulting me with her tongue.
"What the fuck?" Thando says sounding extremely angry.
I pull back from the kiss looking at Thando who's standing by the door looking at us.
Shit. shit. shit.
"Baby, I promise this is not what it looks like." I tell her desperately walking to her.
Miranda scoffs. "It's exactly what it looks like. Matthew, you and I both know you wanted this to happen. You practically called me to come here."
My eyes are locked on Thando pleading with her to not believe a word she's saying. I turn towards a naked Miranda averting my eyes grossed out by her.
I shout. "For Christ sake, put on your clothes woman."
I take Thando's hand in mine needing her comfort but she doesn't let me as she walks to where Miranda is.
"We've always been in love and meant to be together. I'm sorry you had to found out like this." Miranda tells Thando as she stands right in front of her.
"I'm trying my best to understand whether this psycho behavior of yours is in your nature or it is an act but believe me I'm failing miserably." She shakes her head. "I don't know what you think you'll achieve with these acts you keep on performing but it's definitely not my family.
You say you want a relationship with Trey but all I've been seeing is a desperate woman trying to get her way with a man that wants nothing to do with her. Instead of proving that you're worth a chance of forming a relationship with my boy you're focusing on useless things.
I pity you and it's actually sad really how you're missing how incredible that boy inside is. Tell me Miranda, how does it feel to not know a single thing about one of the smartest, handsome, wise, kind and loving soul to ever exist out there?"
I stand there watching and listening to my girl as she speaks so highly of my son falling more in love with her.
Fuck this, I'm not wasting any more time with confessing my feelings. I plan to do something special as soon as possible for Thando so that I can finally confess my true feelings for her.
"You don't know shit about me." Miranda hiss as she cover herself probably feeling embarrassed.
"And I'm glad. From what I've seen and heard about you, believe me there's nothing special I'm missing out on."
"You bitch." Miranda raise her hand to slap Thando but she quickly stops her by holding her wrist in her hand stopping.
"I have a homework for you." Thando calmly says still holding her wrist. "Go home and think about what I said. You'll be surprised at how rewarding my words can."
She let go of her wrist then walk back inside the house leaving me without as much as an eye contact.
Fuck.
"You'll both pay for that. Tell that girl she will pay for this. Mark my words Matthew."
Miranda screams clearly embarrassed that someone put her in her place.
"Go home and think hard about what my girlfriend said. You'll learn just how right she is." I wink at her before I close the door leaving her with her mouth wide open.
I stand by the door nervous about walking to my own living room and face Thando.
I could strangle Miranda for the stunt she just pulled. I can't fucking believe she kissed me and actually said I wanted her back.
Honestly, I don't know what I ever saw her.
After a minute or two I finally gather the courage to face Thando saying a little prayer as I walk back inside.
