EPILOGUE

MATTHEW
"Ready to go babe?"
"Yes baby."
Thando and I arrived here in Italy three days back and in those three days we've been doing a lot of sightseeing, swimming and trying different food all around the restaurants here. Tonight we're dining in one of my restaurant here in Italy and I have the intentions of doing something that will change the rest of our entire lives. I take her hand in mine leading us outside unable to take my eyes of her looking absolutely breathtaking with her braids styled in a ponytail, wearing a red dress clinging to her body and high heels that drives me crazy.
Whatever I did to call her mine I'm forever grateful.
"You my love are the most beautiful woman in the entire world." I tell her as I help her put on her red coat.
"And you're the most handsome man I've ever laid my eyes on."
"Tell me how am I suppose to get through the night with you looking like that?" I kiss her softly and pull back before I get carried away.
"You'll survive Mr Waters. If I remember correctly you promised to take me somewhere?"
I blindfold her. "Absolutely."
"Ah, I almost forgot about the blindfold."
After walking for a bit she asks. "How far?" impatiently and I smile at her impatience.
I take her hand and help her get inside our private gondola ride. "Just a second babe."
I take off her blindfold and she gasps next to me taking in the view around us.
Everything is perfected exactly as I requested plus I love that the sunset and the water makes the scene more romantic.
"This is beautiful Matthew."
"Not as beautiful as you are."
I take her hand again this time helping her to sit which she does gracefully so.
"I have no words. This is absolutely stunning and the view is breathtaking."
I sit down joining her as our gondolier starts our ride handing her her favorite glass of wine. After saying her thanks she takes the glass and take a sip her eyes roaming around.
I stare at her and our locks and in that moment I fall more in love with her as we click our glasses. "To traveling many countries around the world with you by my side."
God, I love this woman.
"You, me and Trey." Thando adds and I nod.
We sit silently enjoying the ride and I indicate to our gondolier that he can start singing.
Thando gasps quietly putting her hand on her mouth looking at our gondolier singing. "How many more surprises have you planned Matthew Waters?."
"This is just the begin baby."
I kiss her other hand before handing her her favorite flowers which I was hiding.
She beams. "I get my favorite flowers in Italy too?"
"You'll always get them wherever you're." I vow.
Our eyes stay locked on each other as we listen to the man singing beautifully. As nervous as I am I know that I have to do this and that it's the right thing to do.
I stand up and take Thando's left hand in mine then kneel down staring at her beautiful face and she put hand over her mouth surprise written all over her face. "What?"
"Thando," I begin clearing my throat, willing my heart to stop racing. "Before you my life had no meaning but ever since you became a part of it, everything makes perfect sense." I tell her as she squeeze my hand, tears falling down her face.
"I love everything about you, the way you light up our home with your presence and the way you love my son, who I'm hoping after this you'll take as yours.
"Baby, you are everything and so much more I could ask for in a partner. Your light guides me through life's darkest moments. I want to build a home with you and for us to fill that home with more children whenever you're ready and to share all of our hopes and dreams together. I know with certainty I've never known that you're the one person I want to face life with, to create more memories with and to grow old with." I stare straight into her eyes which gives me hope.
"Marry me?" I finally ask the question I never thought I'd ask waiting for her to say something.
"You don't play fair with your words." She says as she continues to cry. "You have absolutely no idea how much I love you."
I smile despite my nerves. "What do you say?"
"Yes in every language." She finally says as she holds my face kissing me passionately.
"I still have to put the ring on your hand woman." I smile in our kiss. "Allow me."
I break our kiss taking her left hand in mine and put the oval diamond ring in place then help her to stand up.
"Matthew, this ring is beautiful and very big too."
I ask unsure. "Do you love it?"
"Totally." She smiles and I vow silently right there to always be the reason for all of her smiles. "But mostly I love you."
My heart explodes with the love I have for her. If anyone told me years ago that I would be here with her proposing I wouldn't believe them at all.
"I love you too soon to be Mrs Waters."
"I can't believe you're my fiancé."
I take her face into my hands memorizing every inch of her. "Not for long, I want us to be husband and wife within the next few months."
"Matthew Waters, I'd very much love to enjoy being engaged to you for a bit before we wed." She says seriously as she wipes off the lipstick on my mouth.
"You have six months to plan our wedding." I compromise tracing her lips.
"We have six months to plan our wedding." Thando fires back holding me closer to her. "You will be involved in the wedding preparations as much as I will be Mr Waters."
"Yes, Ma'am" I agree and lock our lips, my hands squeezing her ass that got us here in the first place.
This woman is my life, my reason and my heart.
My heart was once broken and I thought I would never love again but Thando brought me back to love and I wouldn't want it any other way.
Today I live proof of what they say, everything meant for you will always find you no matter what and where you are.
