Riley was sitting down in her penthouse alone. It was large and felt entirely empty minus the few boxes she had brought over. She managed to get the tv on and set up so she could turn on qualifying. Riley hadn't been watching, she was sucked into the drama on her phone.

Max was getting cancelled for not wearing a Senna shirt, which would've made sense if he purposely wore his Red Bull apparel. But someone stole his shirt, just like a few other drivers. Riley was talking to Max about it over the phone before he left to drive. He wasn't one to care about what other people thought. Riley just felt bad.

Riley was being torn up too. Everyone thought she was being rude to Pascale because she accidentally walked past her after dinner. But the hate was only coming from religious Arthur supporters. They were searching for a way to tear Riley down with the hate Arthur was getting. It was somewhat satisfying to watch. It was just Karma paying its dues.

Riley realized she mustered up a small group of fans throughout the past year or so. There were people defending her left and right over what happened. Videos of her crying online were being reported and removed. Somewhere along the lines people realized Riley didn't like to be filmed in public. Arthur didn't try reaching out, just like she told him, but Lorenzo did.

There was no out of the contract and Riley knew that, but Lorenzo said she didn't have to stick to Arthur's side anymore. So she wasn't going to. Riley had excuses up her sleeves originally to run away from him. Yet now with clear permission from Lorenzo she could do as she pleases.

"It's open!" Riley said loudly when there was a knock on her front door. Riley already knew it was Jade, she asked her and Nic to come over.

"Where are you?" Jade asked as she opened the front door.

"Right here" Riley poked her head up from where she was laying down on the couch. She sat up, making room for Jade as she walked through the house. "Sorry I'm watching qualifying"

"I thought we were unpacking" Jade mentioned when she took her shoes off.

"I still have to get half of the boxes from my condo" Riley groaned, "I can't fit them all in my car"

"Why did you not get a moving van?"

"We have one coming on Monday" Riley went for the TV remote to turn the volume down.

"How's Max doing?" Jade asked as she sat down, pointing to the screen slightly.

"He's doing alright," Riley started, "It's Q2 and he's currently P3 so"

"When do you leave for the race?"

"Tonight" Riley said with a smile, "I just have to pack a small overnight bag and then I can leave around 11"

"Is he flying with you?" Jade asked, she wanted the inside scoop.

"No" Riley smiled, "After the race yes, but getting there no"

"He could've" Jade groaned, "It's only a couple hours"

"He has like this sim racing thing that he's doing" Riley told Jade, "I have to be dead silent when I walk in his room"

"Oh but you're staying with him!" Jade pointed out with excitement. "Wait but won't everyone know?"

"If people ask I'll just say I got a room at a hotel" Riley said with a smile that began to fade. "But if Daniel knew I doubt he'd care, to his knowledge he thinks Arthur cheated again"

"Julia is such a bitch" She said, "I don't know what was going through her head"

"I'm not sure much does" Riley rolled her eyes, looking at the screen when she heard Max's name. "It doesn't really matter, although, throughout it all I want to know how no photos of her inside the cop car were taken"
