Arthur dropped Riley off at her condo around noon the next day before he went to Charles's house. He had weight on his shoulders that he was dying to remove. He pulled into Charles's driveway, parking behind a custom Ferrari he had designed with the number 16 on it.

Charles already knew Arthur was coming over. The only information he was given, was that they needed to talk. Arthur was in a mere panic when he was heading to the front doors. Having someone else know about what he did was risky, it made it easier for Riley to find out without Arthur knowing. That's something Arthur was dreading, her finding out. He wanted to love on Riley a little longer if he could.

Arthur was about to walk inside, but his phone started ringing. He answered it when he saw it was from Riley, taking a step away from the door.

"Miss me already?" Arthur asked her with a smirk, listening to the soft laugh that escaped her lips.

"Maybe in 5 minutes that'll be the case but not now" She joked, "But if I say yes will you come back"

"I've been gone for 10 minutes" He laughed, leaning against his car when he listened to her voice.

"10 minutes too long" She said in a mere whisper.

"I'll take you out again tomorrow" He told her, knowing Riley was a sucker for the small dates he would throw together.

"Can you stay over after?"

"Yeah" He nodded while Riley wasn't sure if she was being too clingy at the moment. But she really just wanted to see him, after the rough patch they went through fizzled out, things finally started to feel the way they did 4 months ago.

"Daniel was making dinner reservations for next week and wanted to extend an invitation to you" Riley explained to him, which was because she practically begged him. Daniel was still almost always a hard no when it came to inviting Arthur to group events. "It'll be, me, Dan, Lando, and Dan's new girlfriend Heidi"

"Max isn't going?" He asked her, he was normally invited to those things.

"Not to my knowledge" Riley said, and she knew she could've texted him this information, but she wanted to hear his voice again. "But it's in France so, it's bit of a drive"

"Text me the details" He told her, "But I will be there"

"Okay" She smiled, and you could hear it in her voice. "That's all I needed so I'll let you go" She sighed, rolling over on her bed under her covers.

"I'll call you in a little bit" Arthur said as they said their goodbyes and hung up the phone.

Arthur got off his car and headed back to the front door, a little more at ease after hearing Riley's voice. Knowing Riley still wanted him after everything brought a sense of relaxation to him. He walked straight into the house, Charles left the door unlocked an hour ago with the knowledge that Arthur would be over soon.

He walked around in search for him. Charles wasn't in the kitchen, he wasn't upstairs when Arthur called for him, he wasn't in his usual spot in his living room. But, he was sitting outside in his pool. Arthur walked outside through the sliding glass door.

"Arthur!" Charles said, starting to climb out of the pool once he saw him. "I was wondering when you'd show up"

"I was dropping Rye off" Arthur said, sitting down on one of the sun-beds that were laid out around the pool.

"How is she?" He asked, grabbing a towel to dry off.

"She's good" Arthur nodded, feeling the relaxation leave his body, "I cheated on her" He said, just ripping the bandaid off. There was no right way to enter the conversation, he knew that.
