Riley left the next morning without waking up Ava or Samantha. She had felt extremely nauseous and decided to gather her things and head back to her room shared with Max. If asked why she left so soon, it was because she wanted to go to the circuit with Max for media day. Max was already awake when Riley rushed into the suite, dropping her bags on the ground as she closed the door and hurried her way into the bathroom. Max followed her in when he saw the urgency in Riley's steps, pushing the door open just as Riley let out what was practically just stomach acid.
"Can I get you anything" Max held her hair up when he crouched down beside her.
"A fucking exorcist" She managed to say before hurling again. Max held it together, refusing to laugh at what Riley had said, although they both knew it was a joke.
"Riles" Max looked grossed out, rubbing her back before she was finished.
"I feel disgusting right now" She took in a deep breath, staying in her place, finding Max's hand soothing.
"I'm sorry" He said, receiving a glare from her.
"You did this to me." She said, standing up to get a toothbrush. She looked at Max shockingly when he laughed, watching his face go dead straight when he knew she noticed. "It's not funny- I feel like shit right now"'
"I know" He said, wrapping his arms around her from behind as she put toothpaste on her toothbrush. "It's not funny, I'm not laughing"
"It's not" She emphasized, starting to brush her teeth and tongue thoroughly, watching as Max held her in the mirror.
"How'd you sleep" Max looked at her through the mirror. He waited until she was finished brushing her teeth and rinsing her mouth out with mouth wash to ask that question.
"Alright" She said, sinking into his arms, "I had this crazy vivid dream last night"
"Yeah?" He asked, kissing her jaw, "About?"
"The baby" She said, resting her hands above his. "It was like, in a years time, I knew their gender and everything"
"Which was" He moved his hands against her hips.
"What do you think they are" She asked him, staring at her stomach through the mirror.
"I think we're having a girl" Max told her, seeing a blank look on her face. "You look cute Rye"
"I feel so.. not right now" She told him, feeling tears in her eyes as she looked it herself. She just didn't feel like her anymore. "My face is puffy, I feel like I'm over salivating, my boobs are huge, and my pants and bras don't fit the same anymore" She listed all of the things she deemed wrong.
"Riley you look amazing" Max said, wrapping his arms back around her tightly when she started crying.
"It's like- I know my body's going to change" She said, wiping the tears under her eyes. "But I didn't expect it to happen so soon, I feel like I look like a bloated mess- and by the end of the day for the past week I've looked 20 weeks pregnant"
"You do not look like a bloated mess" Max told her, sliding his hands over her stomach.
"Babe, I'm going to look like I have a bump in 3 hours tops when I drink a fucking bottle of water." She told him, sucking in a breath, "And then everyone's going to know" She said, hearing him mumbled to her when she covered her face.
