Riley was walking around a large penthouse with Max, following around a relator into the main living room that was double the size of hers with Daniel. Her entire day had been crammed with moving boxes of things into Max's apartment then trying to look at as many different penthouses and apartments as possible. Riley was talking to the relator as she looked around, trying to imagine herself a year from now in that exact room.

"What do think?" Max asked her after their agent walked away.

"I don't know, I like the fire place.." She shrugged, "But the rest all feels industrial"

"Industrial?"

"Yeah," Riley nodded, looking at the empty space, "It doesn't feel really homey-" She paused, "Like, I can't picture us raising a kid here."

"I think we could make it feel more homey" He told her, looking towards the large doorway. "Paint the walls"

"I think I want something that's stand alone" She whispered with a flat smile. "I know that it's hard to find in Monaco, but I'd prefer it someday"

"Did you want to look at the house in France?"

"I don't know" She shrugged, sighing when she got stressed. "Is it worth it? Cost wise?"

"The taxes no" Max shook his head, "But it's not even a minute over the border. It would be like we never even left Monaco"

"I don't know" She didn't think it would be worth it. "I would have to get a new visa too... I think we should stay in Monaco."

"That's fine with me- easier"

"We also don't need to have it all figured out today" Riley told him, walking around the room, "If we don't find anything that's fine"

"I think it would be good if we could" He emphasized, following Riley out of the room.

Max was thinking if they signed the papers today, they could manage to have the keys by the end of the week. Next thing they know it they can move in after the triple header, best case scenario a day or two before.

"If you two would like to follow me this way I can show you the patio" The realtor told them, pointing down the hall, "Then I would love to take you guys upstairs to view the bedrooms"

Riley nodded and followed the relator with Max trailing loosely behind her. They both looked through open doorways to the rooms they were passing, inspecting every minuscule detail of the house. There were a few rooms Riley passed that she loved, she just wasn't entirely certain that would over power the couple rooms she hadn't liked.

Riley walked out onto the patio, looking at the skyline and the harbor through the frameless glass railing that surrounded them. There was a large pool set in the patio that was already filled with water.

"There's enough room for a large outdoor table" The relator started going on, "A grill for cookouts-"

Riley tuned her out when the relator talked to Max more. She left everything up to her own imagination, trying to picture herself there in 5 years time. Riley walked towards the railing, looking over down at the harbor, spotting the boat yard that hers and Max's boats were at.

"Are you positive you don't like this one" Max came up from behind, putting his arms around her shoulders. "We haven't even seen the second floor yet"

"It could definitely grow on me" She said quietly, "It just feels really modern"

"Yeah but," Max paused, trying to follow Riley's gaze, "We're not going to find something like your house in Charleston here"

"I know" Riley sighed, laying her head back against his collarbone. "I keep reminding myself that"
