Riley had practically torn her room apart and put it back together again. She couldn't find her phone anywhere and it had started to worry her. She asked Daniel when he got back from the club, Riley took Nathan home with her. She didn't trust Holden and Levi to watch over him especially when they were no where to be found.
She was standing in her kitchen, about to break down because she couldn't find something that held the key to her life on it. If someone took it, if it was in the wrong hands and they managed to get into it. Her family's contacts were on there, pictures and videos, endless private conversations that were in messages. She was growing stressed out when she began thinking about her hidden relationship with Max.
All of the photos and videos she had been taking on her phone instead of her near nonexistent camera were on there. Her and Max never took anything explicit. It wasn't the kind of person Max was. Riley wasn't necessarily that kind of person either, she liked a scandalous picture every now and then. But it was really something she picked up from Arthur. Riley had a few pictures saved to send to Max on the occasion she wanted to make him blush. There were a couple videos of Riley laying on Max's chest when he was talking and hadn't realized she was recording. They were cute moments. Intimate moments. But nothing like her and Arthur had taken.
Clips of them actively involved in each-other. All videos have been deleted from her devices, as-well as Arthur's no matter how hard it was for him to do. He did it out of respect for Riley. He couldn't hold onto something like that and think that it was fine. Because it wasn't fine.
"I can't find my phone" Riley told Daniel worriedly in the kitchen, "I don't even remember where I had it last anymore. Max was with me all night."
"Are you positive you even brought it home from the Gala?" Daniel questioned, that was a thought Riley didn't want to ponder. She didn't want there to be a chance that she hadn't brought it home. Riley didn't like the thought of losing it. Not like Daniel had lost her camera; or...got it stolen by his psycho slut of an ex girlfriend.
"Yes" She nodded quickly, Riley crossed her arms in attempt to comfort herself. "I just tore my room apart took too"
"Maybe it's between the couch cushions" Daniel suggested, not hearing the front door open.
"I already checked there" Riley huffed trying to piece her events from the last few days together. She turned around when she heard footsteps behind her. Riley originally thought it was Holden coming back, but it wasn't. He went home with someone else that night. Riley was surprised to see it was Max walking into the room. "You said you weren't coming over"
"I'll just leave early" He said now that he was caught. Max only came to return her phone, he put it on a chair on Riley's balcony. He didn't realize Riley had just finished tearing her room apart for it. Nor did he know Riley had just been on her balcony, sitting in the exact chair he had placed it on. Max didn't plan on staying the night initially, he was going to be in and out without a sound.
"Wake me up before you go" Riley leaned into Max's side when his arm went around her. Her arms were still crossed as she thought about every photo of her that could get out.
The pictures of her and Arthur that leaked never showed anything. But the things she had on her phone now. Riley didn't want those lingering around on the internet for everyone to see.
"Ok I'm tired" Riley sighed after Max and Daniel had talked for nearly 20 minutes. "I might stand outside for a little bit if you want"
"I'm honestly fine with just falling asleep tonight" Max told Riley when Daniel hopped out of the conversation that was clearly coming to an end. Max didn't want to be here when Riley found her phone.
