"Ashton," my therapist said. "Your foster mother told me that your real mother was shot to death. Is that right?" I nodded. "She also told me your father was the one who shot her and was soon after put in jail." I nodded again. "Do you have anything to say?" I nodded. "What is it? Do you want to say it a loud for me?" I looked down. "Do you want to write it instead?" I looked up. "Yes." I said in sign language. "Here." He said handing me a pen and a pad of paper. Do you know Luke? I wrote. My therapist nodded. "I do know Luke. He's been here for about a year. He was one of my patients for a while." I then wrote, I remember Luke. The last time I was in a mental hospital Luke was here. My therapist looked at it and shook his head. "You just came here?" He said turning to his computer. He kept shaking his head. "What the fuck." He mumbled. I sat up in the chair. "What?" I signed. "I searched your name in the system and its saying that you were placed her in this hospital last year." My eyes widened. What the fuck do you mean? How could I be put here last year if I just got here two days ago? I wrote down on the notepad. My therapist read it. "Just stay here and I'll be back." I nodded.

Once he left I got up and looked at his computer.

My eyes grew wide as I read the screen. I shook my head. "No." I thought. Then the door clicked open. I turned my head. "Please Ashton come sit over here." My doctor said. I stood up and walked to the other side of the desk. "Our system says you were put here in 2012 which is true." I shook my head. "I got here two days ago." I said in sign language. "Ashton, your foster mom took you out of this hospital two months ago. She thought it was the only thing she could do. What she told me was that you stopped talking again and began to harm yourself again." I shook my head and walked out.

"Ashton, are you okay?" Cody asked me as I walked down the hall. I shook my head. "What's wrong?" He asked walking towards me. I backed away. "No." I mouthed walking into Luke's room. Ryan sat there at the end of Luke's bed he looked over to me. "Hey Ashton." He said. I pointed to the door. "Get out." Ryan stood up. "Ashton?" He said. "Ryan," Luke said. "Just give us a minute." Ryan nodded. I walked over to Luke's bedside. "What wrong?" Luke asked. I looked down. "I remember you."

"How do you remember me?" Luke said. I shrugged. "I don't know." I mouthed. Luke shook his head. "I had someone from my schizophrenic mind named Ashton. He looked like you too." I looked down. "Are you sure he wasn't real?" Luke nodded. "Ashton, at least say something to me." I swallowed. "I," my voiced cracked. "I was that person I was real."
