52. Arachne

As planned, Dewi will fight the boss alone and he will only step in if she's in danger or can't defeat the boss by herself. They want to find out her limit, after all, so they need her to keep fighting until she runs out of power or gets defeated.

She charges at the Arachne after covering herself with her Light Magic. Her movement is much faster than before and she is very focused now. Indra is also focusing hard so he can support her when needed.

The arachne screams before it jumps to the ceiling to avoid Dewi's claw attack. Her claw attack is stronger too now that it creates 5 light blades that fly and cut the webs on the wall behind. She has understood her magic a little more after using it against the spiders before.

From the ceiling, the arachne spews green liquid from its mouth. Dewi backs off to avoid it, so it hits the ground. The green liquid actually melts the ground. It is a very strong acid that surely can kill people easily.

But it makes Indra curious how much that acid will affect S-Rank hunters and its effect on his barrier. He doesn't want to test the 1st case, but it's possible to test the 2nd case. Now he just needs to wait for the boss to shoot another acid shot and he will block it with his barrier.

Dewi, unaware of her brother's curiosity is charging at the arachne again. The arachne is throwing a wide web that looks like a net at her, but she simply cuts it with her claws. Then Dewi sends a strong kick at the arachne that still sticks on the ceiling.

Her kick is blocked by the arachne's humanoid arms. It's a powerful kick, but she can't even push the arachne back with it and her kick doesn't seem to do any damage on the arachne. This boss monster is very tough.

"Hmm? Wait, I don't think it's because that boss monster has a very tough body. My sister's kick was too weak. Without a ground to support her body, her kicking power is reduced a lot. Hmm, so attacking in the air can affect the power this much, huh?"

Indra never fought his enemies midair, so he doesn't know this. It must be something like physical law or something that he doesn't really understand. But he now knows that without a foothold, the power of their attacks can reduce a lot.

"Sis! Try to take it down!"

"That's easy to say. This spider-woman can walk everywhere even on the walls and ceiling. She can just move to any place to get away from me."

As Dewi says, the issue is catching up to that arachne so she can attack it from a close distance. It can move to every corner of this room freely while Dewi needs to be careful even just to step on the floor because of the webs sticking everywhere.

"Do you want me to take over then?"

"No!"

Dewi suddenly moves to the spot right below the arachne. She crouches and the light on his legs is getting brighter. The arachne is shooting an acid ball but then Dewi suddenly disappears from her spot, so the acid ball hits the ground.

Suddenly, the arachne gets kneed from the back and flies to the wall above the boss room door. Dewi is appearing where the boss was. Previously, she jumped to the wall behind then jumped to the boss and kneed it from the back.

Dewi was so fast that the boss couldn't react to her attack. Her power is Moon Rabbit, after all, and rabbits have powerful legs that allow them to jump far compared to their body sizes. So she who has the power of a rabbit is blessed with powerful jumps too.

"That's why I told you to use your legs more. Rabbits have powerful legs, after all."

Now, Dewi's attack finally can damage the boss arachne. She used both of her knees to hit the boss using the momentum of her jumps, which were very powerful. The dungeon wall even gets dented and cracked by the impact when the arachne hit it.
