58. Red Dragon

It's finally time to raid the 1st S-Rank Gate in history. All the Hunters have received their equipment like armor and weapons. The Federal Hunter Bureau distributed them yesterday and each one is of high quality.

The siblings also receive their equipment, obviously, and they feel strange because they never used armor or weapons for dungeon raids before. They usually just wear casual clothes when raiding as if they are going to the park.

Dewi receives a full-body armor that's mostly made of metal. There are still parts made out of cloths and leather to avoid disturbing her mobility though. Her weapons are rather big and flashy gauntlets and shoes.

Indra receives something like a priest robe with white and gold color, quite typical in fantasy stories. He gets a wooden staff that has a dark blue crystal orb attached to it as his weapon. He doesn't like his current appearance, but he can't really complain about it.

"Sis, just remove them if it's getting too uncomfortable later."

"Sure. I don't know how they feel when I transform, but they feel nice for now."

After a short briefing, the S-Rank Hunters finally enter the dungeon. Well, they try to. However, no one can enter the Gate. It's blocking them as if it's a locked Red Gate.

"What the fuck happened?"

Everyone is confused because it was just like other Gate other than its immense magic power. So they thought they would be able to enter it normally.

Indra curses in his heart. 'Fuck! I should've tried to check the dungeon using my clones. That way I would've found out that we can't even enter this Gate.'

He is quite pissed, but he is also confused by this. Jin Woo never said that this Gate can't be entered.

'Was it the reason why Japan didn't even send their S-Rank hunters into Tokyo's S-Rank Gate? I thought it was because the Gate was located in the sky so they couldn't access it. Maybe it was also what happened in Jeju Island.'

Either that or things have started to change in this timeline. If it's so, then the Rulers must've done it with some purposes that he doesn't know.

Anyway, because of this problem, the raid is canceled. Now they can only wait for the Gate to break open and fight the monsters in this city.

The Government has evacuated the civilians from this city. But now they need to evacuate even the nearby cities because they never know how wide the area that will be affected by the battles between these S-Rank Hunters and the monsters.

Now the S-Rank Hunters can only wait until the 7th day when the Gate will break open. They prepare a new strategy because now they at least know their battleground.

Then after waiting for a few days, the time finally arrive. Only the Hunters are left in this city now. Everyone else has evacuated, even those from the military because they won't be of any help at all.

Cracks appearing on the massive Gate and the hunters are getting ready to fight. Then after a while, a red gigantic reptilian head comes out of the Gate. The hunters are stunned when they see this monster's head because it looks just like the most famous fantasy creature.

"D-DRAGON!"

They are stunned to see a Dragon comes out of the opened Gate. But Indra's shout wakes them up from their stupor.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING? HURRY UP AND ATTACK BEFORE IT FULLY COME OUT!"

Indra shouts while giving buffs to all Mages and Archers there. The Hunters come back to their senses and they quickly launch their attacks.
