106. Red Gate

Sorry guys, I had exam this week, so I couldn't focus on writing. Really sorry.

A while after arriving in Ragnar's Guild, Indra gets a call from him. The Association has approved his proposal to join the raid.

"That was quick. Did you not ask the other Hunters?"

<There's no need to ask them. The Association has the authority to point out who's going to participate. Honestly, they don't really have another option. We don't have any S-Rank Healer or Support and we're going to risk it too much if we send A-Ranks inside an almost S-Rank Gate. Besides, as the 1st discoverer, I basically have the right to raid already. So I can bring whoever I want and refusing your request is like opposing another country. After all, we are National Level Hunters. We are equal to Nations.>

"Well, as long as I can participate. I don't care if people don't like it. They will be thankful once it turns into a Red Gate."

<Surely, Mate. Now you can make preparations. We will raid in 2 days at most.>

"Alright, see ya later."

While Ragnar is busy with the meeting, Indra is busy teaching Fredrik the basics of Rune Magic. They can't leave Norway yet, so Indra uses this time to teach Fredrik a few things.

Ragnar told him to prepare for the raid, but Indra is always ready. Everything he needs for any situation has been stored in his inventory, including survival kits, food, and drinks to survive in a Red Gate.

So now he just needs to wait for the raid schedule and rather than doing nothing, he chooses to teach Fredrik a few important things not only about Rune Magic, but also about being a Hunter.

During the lessons, Indra gets surprised by Fredrik so many times. Fredrik is very intelligent, has a great sense of magic, he learns fast, and he also has a high curiosity.

He absorbs everything that Indra taught very quickly, like a sponge. It makes Indra think that Fredrik is a very talented Rune Mage. He will be better at Rune Magic than Indra.

"You have a much better talent with Rune Magic than me. Maybe that's why you only have Rune Magic as your ability, because you excel on it. You are a specialist, unlike me, so you will achieve more in Rune Magic than me."

This is actually a good thing for Indra because if Fredrik becomes better than him in Rune Magic, then his workload will reduce so much. Fredrik can then take over everything related to Rune Magic, so he can focus on everything else.

They finally do the raid on the 3rd day since the Gate appears. As Indra thought, the S-Rank Hunters are displeased with him joining because it will reduce their shares a lot.
