It's March 22 and I'm turning 15! It's currently March 21, 11:56 pm. My beloved roomies and I  were awake waiting for the clock to strike 12. Dang I can't believe I'm turning 15 already. My life just seems to be sprinting. I remember when I was young my life would be so slow but now things seem so quick.

"THIS IS THE LONGEST FOUR MINUTES OF MY LIFE" Lorcan said, staring at the second hand in his watch. "Lysander, Truth or dare?" Val suddenly asked me as the game of truth or dare which we were playing resumed. "Anything is fine '' I said, resting my head on my hand. "I dare you to kiss Lily '' he said laughing. "That's not allowed, no future dares did you forget. Give a dare that can be done right now" I said.

"Fine" Val said disappointedly. "I dare you to go to the common room and scream 'yee haw!'" Jared said laughing. "Easy, the best part no one's going to be wandering in the common room at midnight" I said as I got up and opened the dorm door and went down to the common room and screamed "yee haw!"

Apart from waking up a N.E.W.T.s student I don't think there was any sense of 'embarrassment' involved. Lorcan looked at his watch and gave me a hug. "Happy Birthday bro" he said, squeezing me. I just stood traumatized. After he let go of me I warned him, "Don't hug me without a warning, I get startled easily when it comes to affection" I told him. "Also Happy Birthday" I wished him.

We went up to our dorms as Hugo and Val popped some party poppers. Jared had also baked us a cake. YES, I LOVED JARED'S CAKES AFTER ALL HE COMES FROM A FAMILY WHO HAVE OWNED BAKERIES FOR SEVERAL GENERATIONS AND THAT TOO FROM FRANCE. No one can beat him in making cakes and pastries, not even me.

"This cake is my paradise" Lorcan said, taking a big bite into the slice. "Gee, thanks. Don't sugar coat it though. I kinda screwed up the quantity of sugar" Jared said smiling. "It's a good thing it has less sugar, Lorcan now has less chances of getting diagnosed with diabetes" I said.

"Ok, my birthday cake was not as good as this Jared you're partial" Val said, frowning. "I didn't know you liked strawberry cakes. You seemed more of a vanilla person. I didn't think you hated vanilla and I didn't wanna ask you what flavor you preferred and ruin the surprise" Jared said.

"Excuses" Val said, rolling his eyes. "Be grateful, my birthday is during the holidays and I have to celebrate it all alone with none other than Rose" Hugo said, slapping his back.

"What do you mean? I always visit you on your birthday" Lorcan said. "Oh yeah, right" Hugo said realizing.

"Ok now can we continue the game as we eat?" Val asked. "Guys settle" Jared said as we settled and started playing. "Lorcan, who do you feel seems extra in our friend group?" Val asked cruelly. Oh this one is gonna hurt. To be honest though if I was asked this question, the answer would have been Hugo. "Lysander for sure, he's just in a different world sometimes".

"ME?" I asked. "It's fine Ly, I love you" Jared said. "I love you too, " Val said laughing. "Heavy competition for me?" I asked jokingly. "We should sleep guys, it's late. We might have a hard time waking up in the morning then" Jared said. "It's just one day" Val protrested. "Simple for you to say, I'll be the one struggling to turn off all your alarms and wake you up and if anyone of you show up in class I'll be answering to Mongrel and I CAN'T FACE THAT THING" he said.

"Fine, fine" Val said and in half an hour we found ourselves on the bed ready for tomorrow with the room all cleaned up. But none of us except Jared. were still asleep at 1:00 am.
