His laugh is mirthless, eyes cold and unforgiving. Sapphires blazing with hatred. "No. There's no getting out of this one, Your Highness."

The King steps back, hand moving automatically to where his weapon would normally be and the other gives a brittle smile.

"Now, now, Your Highness, violence? At your own wedding?" A lingering smirk as he grabs the royal, grip tight and inhuman.

The king shivers at the cold feeling of this pretenders hands, no longer able to make excuses. "What was your plan then, Fae?"

"Oh it was for fun, of course, " Then his smirk turns into a scowl, and his grip is bruising. "Then I saw a trophy of yours, one of my friends. And that just. Won't. Do."

It was supposed to be a simple joke, a stupid simple joke. Night didn't want anything else, bored out of his mind with the other Fair Folk, he just wanted to have fun with a human. Risky fun maybe, so a royal it was. The King was easy, unmarried, no child, nothing really bad coming out of it. He wouldn't fire back after all and Night would've repaid all the trouble in time.

Only, being shown around that castle with his glamour, acting as a princess from another land, it was actually... fun. He wondered if he should've just came out then and there, a double door to a trophy room opening. The Kings hunts which had been minor, nothing they could get angry about. Until he saw it, in the back and he felt almost sick. A board of pixies, he even recognizes a few who he had merely thought of as flighty things, ones who didn't want to stay long. They had been his fleeting friends and he feels an alarming anger course through his veins.

He acts, and acts, and acts, making sure the King would love his false self, making sure he would crush the man who had killed so many of his own.

He could see it in the Kings eyes as the shadows bent to Nights will, his deep purple eyes flickering with the raging fire in his veins. "You've made your mistake and now you will pay. Your kingdom here to witness, for they will no longer need a king like you."

With that the shadows cover the area, trenching everything in black. When it recedes, they are no longer standing in the courtyard of the Royal garden, but in the forest, surrounded by trees and dark with the overhang of leaves.

The King states down the fae, eyes unyielding to his feelings. "Well? Showy, but that is not exactly what I expected. What is it then?"

"You will never go back, you will never be able to leave the forest. You will never be able to harm another of my friends, of any of us. You will wander these woods, unable to harm or be harmed, until the day you die." Night merely looks him over, as the realization appears in the former kings eyes. "I hope you are happy with what you've done. Your kingdom will not bring you back, nor will they be able to."

Despite the look of despair, the knowledge that all Night has said is true, there is a fire in those eyes that Night thought they knew. "We'll see how long this will last, Fae. Someday, some season, your power will wane."
