He hadn't expected anyone to join him, not as it slowly got darker. He sat on the stairs of the porch, wrapped into a blanket with steaming tea in his hands as he watched the stars slowly appear. His hoodie wasn't enough to block out the cold, the blanket wasn't much help either, so he simply took a scolding sip of his tea.
It wasn't until he heard a soft sound next to him that he turned his head to see the logical trait, also wrapped in a blanket with tea. He glanced at Virgil, giving the confused side a small smile then looking back to the sky. "It's quite peaceful today. I believe tonight is a meteor shower."
"Oh... That's uh... That's cool," Virgil murmured awkwardly, taking another sip of tea, glad it wasn't as scalding this time.
The silence following luckily wasn't awkward, not as awkward as Virgil thought it would. It wasn't until it was past midnight that there was another conversation, as the meteors started slanting across the sky in a multitude of colours.
"Logan?" Virgil questioned quietly, not wanting to break the nice silence, but wanting to voice his thoughts. His thoughts he's had for a while... Or more since the Negative Thinking video, which they started their playful arguing (or debating, if you ask Logan.) Logan hummed to show he heard, sipping from his tea which was starting to get cold. "I... I want to tell you something..."
Logan glanced at Virgil, his eyebrows drawn in confusion. "You may speak to me about anything, Virgil. I am more than willing to listen and help if needed."
Virgil huffed slightly, scooting closer to Logan on the step. He hadn't expected this to be easy, Logan was making it far too easy. Especially with his expression so adorably confused. "Logan, I... I think I like you."
"Oh, well, I like you too, Virgil," Logan answered, before shattering Virgils hope. "You are a great friend." The word felt weird to Logan, certainly he knew he had a 'crush' on the anxious trait. So simply calling Virgil a friend made a weird feeling bubble in his chest uncomfortably. He shifted and turned to face Virgil, his eyes widening when Virgil leaned forward to kiss him.
They parted when they needed air, both of their faces red from more than the cold now. "No, you nerd, I mean romantically..." Virgil said quietly, his grip on his mug turning his knuckles white.
"I could infer that due to the kiss," Logan replied, mind still reeling. "I... Do believe I like you too." He said slowly, a small smile starting to grace his features.
Virgil let out a relieved breath, letting his own small smile on his lips. "Thank god," he murmured, hesitantly leaning onto Logan. "And Logan?"
Logan had set down his mug, one arm going awkwardly around Virgils shoulders. "Yes, Virgil?"
"Happy birthday." He said softly, closing his eyes and relaxing against the other trait.
"Thank you, Virgil," he smiled, more comfortable with kissing the top of Virgils head. "So far, the best birthday I have ever had." This gave Logan a beautiful laugh in response, along with an accusation of being a sap, but he didn't mind. Not as long as he could sit with someone he cared for doing one of his favourite things, star gazing.
