The plots the photo fam. Both Roman and Logan have a thing for Patton, fighting constantly for Patton's affections, only to find Patton likes Virgil. Let's see how this goes, my darlings~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Logan and Roman both knew of the others emotions toward a certain bubbly trait and both were trying to out do the other in gaining said traits affections. They both offered to spend time with Patton, on seperate instances of course. Both knew it would be too obvious if they asked Patton to hang out at the same time and not only would it end badly, Patton would say they should all hang out. Neither of the two wanted that.
It wasn't long before Patton, regretfully, had to say to them that he had already made plans, though neither knew the implications. It wasn't exactly common, but it was becoming such slowly. The other two hadn't noticed, stuck in their own little bickering world.
Logan was the one to go to Pattons room, set on asking him to do a puzzle with him. He knocked, hearing shuffling until the door was opening by Virgil. Logan was taken aback, confused as to why the anxious trait was in Pattons' room. "Salutations, Virgil." Logan greeted as usual, earning a nod from the trait.
"Do you need something?" Virgil asked, his voice dripping with exhaustion.
"Virge~ I want cuddles!~" Came Pattons voice before Logan had the chance to respond.
"Hold on, Pat," Virgil called back, Logan catching the fondness in his tone. "I umm... I Should probably..." Virgil gestured, clearly slightly embarrassed.
"I see, then I apologize," Logan said, robotically as his mind worked to form the relationship Patton and Virgil have. "Make sure to get more sleep." Then he turned, stiffly, walking to his own room as Virgil shut the door. He wasn't exactly sure why his chest hurt, why his heart felt figuratively crushed. He had more lost in his own thoughts when he bumped into Roman, who had wanted to ask Patton to go on a quest with him.
"Apologies, Roman," Logan muttered, moving past only for Roman to stop him. "Do you need something?"
"There's clearly something amiss with you, nerd," Roman stated, frowning. He may not get along well with Logan, but Logan was still his friend.
"No, I am physically fine." Logan said, glancing at Roman before pulling his arm out of his grasp.
"And emotionally?" Roman asked, raising a brow.
"I am Logic. Emotions go against Logic," Logan said tersely.
"That's not exactly true, Logan," Roman shook his head at the stubborn trait. "You know that."
Logan glared at him. "Piss off, halfwit." (Too many times watching Sherlock and you basically become an englishman.)
"I am only trying to help!" Roman exclaimed dramatically. "Could it kill you to accept some (I swear, help should not be this hard to type.) help?"
"How hypocritical of you, (thanking my friend from a SS gc) Prince of Fuck Ups." Logan sneered. "If you must know, I believe Patton and Virgil are in a relationship." Logan then turned and went to his room, scowling to himself. He hated emotions and yet, he couldn't help feeling them.
Roman, on the other hand, was caught completely by surprise, not only at Logan's outburst, but at the accusation that Virgil and Patton would be together. Though, now that he thought about it, they had been quite close recently. Roman decided he'd go back to his room, not wanting to see if it was a fact just yet.
At least that was the plan until dinner rolled around. Logan and Roman still weren't talking, even as they sat on opposite ends of the couch, waiting. Virgil and Patton were cooking, not that it would've taken more than Patton to cook. Roman took note of that, unaware that Logan had also taken note of how much longer it was taking them to cook.
Patton finally called for them to come in to eat, Logan sitting down at the table first. Roman sat next to him, making Logan notice that Virgil was sitting next to Patton. (Im literally sad in myself. It isnt even that many words and ive taken d a y s.)
"Kiddos! Me and Virgil were talking about having a movie night tonight!" Patton smiled warmly at the other two sides.
"Patton, it is Virgil and I. And fine, I will join." Logan replied, eating mechanically.
"I too will join!" Roman exclaimed, with a flourish of his hands before starting to eat too. (I put himself then realized "that sounds like cannibalism. lets not.")
It was after dinner, when they all went to the common room, that Roman got his confirmation. Patton sat next to Virgil, the latter curling into the formers side. It was then that Roman's heart shattered when Patton leaned down to peck Virgil on the nose. He sat on a differet sofa, decidely not wanting to be near the couple. Logan sat on the other end of the same couch, doing his best not to give any focus, distinctly confused at the way his chest squeezed at the action of the older trait. (Now before you little shits go commenting on this, Patton is not only the dad but Morality, an outlook on life and morals is one of the first things a kid will learn. Thus why I call him the older trait.)
Logan was the first to excuse himself, claiming he needed optimal sleep and that the rest of them should follow suit. Then he retreated to his room, a hand on his chest as if that would stop the ache he felt.
Roman was most certainly next, with an exclamation about his beauty sleep. He knew he was heartbroken, he was Thomas's passion and romance, and surely he would move on, but for then, he decidely went to his room, and let himself hurt.
It was slow at first, smaller interactions that Roman and Logan noticed which they hadn't before. The smallest of brushes, every so often hand holding, but the big thing was Virgil was out of his room more often. Neither said anything, knowing the other two traits would say something on their own time. Though Roman and Logan had gotten closer, even comparing their lists for the day.
It wasn't until they were working on something together and their hands brushed, did they both realize that they'd healed and fallen in love again. Roman was elated at the find, though saying nothing as he picked up the script they'd been working on.
Logan, on the other hand, was in panic in his mind. He was Logic, and emotions are not logical. So, he wondered, why must this be so difficult? Why can't I just not feel at all? Logan feared rejection more than the way he had found out about Patton.
Roman knew he would have to do a lot, still believing Logan disliked him immensely. (...i did not mean for this part to sound like Logan, but im keeping it.) He would certainly have to make sure he kept his grand gestures to what Logan would like. He was planning this in his head, maybe making a grand library for Logan in the imagination, or summoning new books he's been wanting to read. He stopped focusing on their actual work.
Logan cleared his throat for the third time, starting to get frustrated. "Roman!" He snaps, watching as the Prince like trait jumps out of his reverie. "Finally, you lost focus, Roman. Is the script satisfactory?"
Roman chuckled bashfully as he scanned over the script. "Looks magnificent to me!" He sets it back down.
Logan clicked his tongue with a nod, standing up to stretch, poping and stretching his joints and sore muscles. "Then I do believe we are still on schedule."
Roman grins, his eyes sparkling. "Does that mean we have time?" He was already ready to put his plan in action.
Logan looked at the clock, then to Roman. "Yes, we have 30 minutes before lunch." He stated matter-of-factly.
"Good!" Roman exclaimed, not wasting any time to grab Logans hand, walking- or more pulling Logan as he took long strides- towards the imagination.
Logan disliked the way his heart sped (speed? I also totally didn't like... Go through my other stories and double check for errors. Not at all.) up at the simple touch, grumbling lowly as he stumbled along when Roman dragged him. "What are you doing, Roman?"
"I'm taking you to a whole new world!" Roman exclaimed, throwing open the door to the imagination, which had changed just as he stepped in to match his minds eye. The library from Beauty and the Beast was recreated, with a few of Romans own touches of course. (I need. Im visualizing this and I require the library.)
Logans mouth gaped open in awe as he looked around. "Amazing..." He murmured, already itching to start reading. He walked to the shelves, looking at the spines as he took in the names. There were tons here that he had even wanted to read that he hadn't gotten around to.
"You like it then?" Roman asked, a big grin on his face as Logan turned to him.
"Like it?" Logan questioned. "No, no, I don't like it... I LOVE IT!" He exclaims, turning back to the books and perusing until finally deciding on one.
Roman chuckled, watching the other trait as the normally emotionless ones eyes shined, picking out more books. "Don't hurt yourself by carrying too many." Roman smiled and took some of the books from Logan, his face flushing when their hands met for a second.
Logan merely ignored the jump on his nerves, pushing his glasses up with his now free hand. "I apologize, I may have gone a bit overboard."
Roman let out a boisterous laugh, setting the books on a nearby table. "Yes, yes you did, nerd. But i am glad you enjoy it." (Totally didn't like... Forget about this... Cue Deceit XD.)
Logan scoffs at that, trying to think of someone who won't. "Do tell, who wouldn't?" He muttered, his focus going over to the fanciful (tis almost 4 AM and i couldn't spell fanciful for the life of me) trait.
It didn't take much longer in that library, talking with Roman and even just sitting in silence, for Logan to realize his affections for the other male. (Had to stop myself from typing halfwit.) When he finally had though, he closed his book harder than intended, catching the royal off guard. Another thump as the fairytale book Roman was holding fell to the floor and he sheepishly looked over to Logan, who was staring intently at him. "Roman." Echoed Logan's crisp voice.
"Yes, Lo?" He asked, picking the book back up and placing it on a side table, knowing full well if Logan had stopped reading, it was serious. "What do you need?"
"I am... Confused." He stated, obviously not very much liking that word used to describe him. "I... It has to do with emotions." Logan said the word with distaste, a sour look on his face. (As I rhyme without trying.)
"Alright, can you explain it?" Roman asks, putting his elbows on his thighs and his head in his hands, staring right at Logan.
Logan cleared his throat and adjusted his already perfect tie. "They feel like... Wow, 'feel like'..." He shook his head, fixing his glasses. There was an infinitesimal chance he'd get another like this. "It feels like how I felt for Patton." His hands were clammy, his heart rate was abnormal, and he could feel his cheeks heating up once he had finished his words.
Roman let a lazy grin cross his features. "And you're feeling love again because...?" He trailed off, prompting the other trait, knowing full well what it meant.
Logan took a deep breath then looked Roman right in the eyes, determined. "It means that i hold affections for you, Prep."
Being called Prep didn't even affect Roman, not when he could distinguish the care behind the jab. He got up and stood right in front of Logan, causing the smarter trait to look up. "And I return those feelings, my nerd." He leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss to Logan's lips. (*microsoft error noises*)
It wasn't an easy relationship for them, they bickered of course, but they still love eachother, and now they could be happy just as Virgil and Patton are...
Are they?
